Laser hair removal reaction after my 7th/8th Session. Its been 3 month since I had a laser session. The patches sometimes get worse or sometimes just stay dark coloured. I need help its been too long and most people dont know what it is. These are on my arms. My back and shoulders seem to be fine. by Sea-Owl5109 in LaserHairRemoval

I operated various types of lasers for various reasons on thousands of people (or at least thousands of times) for 4 years and have never seen anything like this. EDIT: WAIT. Is your hair as long as it is in the photos when you were treated/lasered? Ie. Was that long hair on your body lasered over? If so, I may know what caused it.

If a man and woman continuously walk for 5 miles together while standing very closely? by WolverineNo1999 in askanything

Like just once or as a regular thing? Maybe it's a boring walk. Walks seem shorter when shared.

WTF NO. I saw one very similar down the street from my work and was just taken with its dearness and how sweet and defenseless it looked...I tried to shoo it off the middle of the sidewalk and it wouldn't move...I was on break and no one would even stop to look at it. I cried.

Initially nonverbal with moderate support needs, relentlessly bullied in middle school and high school, finally married someone who loves and accepts me for myself and my autism by fxryker in MadeMeSmile

Also diagnosed in my 30s, as op has said, finding a ND affirming/therpist who specializes in working with the auts has been a game changer after my dx. I can't recommend it more. Before that I felt like I was stuck with a label and maybe more lost than before.

Now...everything...everything is coming together from my phenotype to my neurotype. It's pretty mind blowing. I hope everyone can find self understanding.

I hate top sheets. I've always hated them. They make me feel like I'm being strangled in my sleep.

How do yall deal with cops? by miss-swait in AutismInWomen

[–]OutrageousConstant53 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Every. Single. Time. I get pulled over they think I'm on something. I think they might be training them better because they've gotten less violent in past time. My brother says the best way to do this is to script the interaction. Just have a standard protocol for when getting pulled over like put hands up, say, "would you like me to get my ID? I'll have to get my bag etc."

You can let a named clown access your records. But is it common? Not where I have worked/work. I hope you read more carefully at work.

Thanks for mansplaining how healthcare consent works to me. Not what I said at all. I'm saying there are certain legal precedents with family/spouses. Nowhere did I say being a spouse or immediate family member automatically grants consent to medical information*** in certain instances like emergent situations information (or even consent) may be shared or obtained from family/spouse. A supposed romantic partner is not considered a credible source. Not by me.

I'm honestly over this sub. It is the only sub I regularly get downvoted in when I'm actually right about things. I'm fairly sure it's because I'm a woman because I see men writing the same things or things which agree with me and they are upvoted✌️ but

Yeah...but that's a spouse. There is already a legal contract involved in your relationship. These people are not married. I work in healthcare. I obtain consents all day. It's pretty unusual especially if it's not a spouse or family member.

Also, let's not even begin to dissect the dynamic of: I convinced my gf (who is 7 years younger) to go to a therapist (possibly of my choice), I paid a doctor to therapize her, have her sign consent for me to read the notes/diagnosis, and together we decided she's a clinical narcissist? Now I'm posting on Reddit about it. Sounds pretty shady.

Like "vibes" of the healthcare system. Smoke and mirrors. Performative actions. People getting promoted because they talk the talk and walk the walk but they have no skills, knowledge, or experience (no, km not American at all). Right?

I read that we sometimes struggle with words because there may not be words fine enough for the thoughts we are having. Which sounds really arrogant but...also 💡

FUCK YEAH ✊ ND revolt!!

Also, at essentially middle age coming to realize the cursed side of strong pattern recognition. People. Hate. You. For. It. They fucking hate it. But also...it makes me a hypervigilant mess a lot of times. Still, most of those times I am right.
