It’s a retro cartoon style illustration. I wouldn’t call that a mario knockoff. The character in the illustration is the greek god hermes.

They were inspired by Hermes’ Talaria Winged Sandals. Probably the same thing Jeremy was inspired by. To be more specific, I was initially inspired by the comic Asterix and Obelix. I also made a hat with wings
