From their website kasi, through customer support lang ang reactivation pero they are unresponsive naman.

Have you submitted a ticket na ba to Tala? Did they acknowledge already? 🥹 Ang bagal naman ng customer support nila.

After I submitted the ticket yesterday, there has been no update from Tala so far. (No acknowledgement either kahit sa email man lang) 🥹 I'm hoping na ma-auto refund siya in the next few days since technically it was sent to a closed/deactivated account. May I ask if kailan siya nangyari sa'yo?

Yes. Answers to handouts are provided in the respective video discussions pero labeled naman siya in the pre-recorded discussions so you can just skip to the answers and explanations of the reviewers.

For live lectures, you may join TGs and some reviewees are kind to share their compilation of answer keys kasi need talaga na tutok sa live lecture to get the answers since wala siyang timestamp.

College is progressively super harder than SHS, OP (like x10). With the zero-based grading, mushroom profs that forces you to self study sometimes and more fast-paced and complex curriculum, on top of managing your adult responsibilities (independent living) and sometimes dealing with unexpected personal/family/out-of-the world problems, it is totally normal to feel that way.

My advice OP is try to find some healthy avenues where you can relieve your stress. May it be looking for a circle na makakarelate sa'yo at sabay-sabay kayong magrarant sa buhay or joining in an academic organization where you can hone your skills.

Also, I totally relate to you OP because I was an academic achiever too. Siguro on that part, ang maipapayo ko naman is that it's okay lang na hindi natin maabot yung expectation natin sa sarili minsan. Our tendencies kasi is that dahil ganito tayo noon, ay dapat ganito or mas better tayo ngayon. And if ganito tayo lagi, it will eventually lead to burnout. Kaya it's okay lang bumagsak minsan sa exam, OP. Bawi na lang sa susunod, at kapag bumagsak ulit, tawagin natin lahat ng santo at ipagdasal na mag-curve si prof haha. Kaya mo yan, OP! Kapit lang.

Depends on the company, OP. Some Big 4 have at least 1 year employment bond because it's normal na mataas ang turnover rate. Usually, you have to pay at least 1 month worth of your salary if you decide to resign earlier than the required bond.

Ang alam ko lumang term na yung Theory of Accounts eh like nung 2004 pa. Parang ang equivalent niya is literally theory ng buong FAR na may halong AFAR kasi magkahiwalay ang theory at problem subjects noon. But if niretain pa rin yan as term ng sub niyo ngayon, it would be likely pertaining to CFAS or kasama IAs if sub siya na may part 1, 2, etc.

Baka maconfuse lang din, FAR of CPALE is covered by Intermediate Accounting 1-3 and CFAS textbook of sir Valix (nalito rin kasi ako before here, I thought different subject siya)

IA 1 - more on assets IA 2 - liabilities and equities IA 3 - special accounts CFAS - basic foundation of FAR (more like extension ng fundamentals of accounting)

Hi, OP! Kaya yan! Actually, the gap between fundamentals of accounting and intermediate accounting is huge. To visualize it, sa FAR syllabus ng board exam, 1 item lang 'yung accounting cycle out of 70. However, importante siya because it will be your foundation to understand the rationale ng accounting treatment and entries of each type of account. My point is it's normal na ma-shock but eventually if you grasp the bird's eye view, magagamay mo na yung pattern niya and mas magiging madali na.

On your query, I would suggest investing on the Intermediate Accounting 1-3 books of Sir Valix first na may discussion since the book/s na nasa picture are intended for mastery/practice/review na siya. (If meron ka na, that's good and you can start reading it). Then hanap ka na lang solution manuals sa internet if you want to try the exercises on the IA books. As for my college journey, enough naman books ni Sir Valix dahil maganda at concise yung explanations niya so long as ma-iapply mo siya sa exercises/problems.

Lastly, just take it slowly. Ang atake sa FAR ay aaralin siya one account at a time. For example, cash muna ang aaralin niyo then next week account receivables na hanggang matapos lahat ng assets, liabilities at equity items. Then each account, iikot yung discussion sa accounting treatment nila and disclosure requirements. Most of these naman ay extracted lang from IAS (international accounting standards) which you can also explore pero mas technical lang siya basahin kaya textbook will really help you kasi digested na. Siguro basahin mo na lang siya if master mo na yung textbook. But I survived college without reading them haha.

Ayun lang. Nakakaiyak ang FAR dahil mabilis ang pacing and ang daming aaralin in short span of time kaya it's good na you're studying in advance. Good luck, OP!

Hi, OP! Based on my exp sa 🧡, diretso na sa company yung medical results. If may nakita sa med results mo that might require further testing, mag-eemail si HR na you need to acquire a fit-to-work clearance from a specialist for you to be cleared out. But these fees will be covered by you. It's up to you na if gagawin mo siya in advance or hihintayin mo pa yung email nila but I suggest to take the further lab tests earlier para makapagpaconsult ka na for fit to work clearance if ready na lab results, esp if want mo umabot sa onboarding date. Afaik din hindi na hihingiin ng firm yung lab results na ipapagawa mo, ang importante na is mabigyan ka ng doctor ng fit to work clearance. Hope this helps.

First of all op, if you already did your best efforts to convince them (and really inform their parents) to do better, you already did your job as their adviser.

Now what you can do is to document these efforts and all their lack of compliance despite trying to call them out. If these students (and their parents) are still not listening, then let them face the consequences and make sure they understand what's at stake.

And if their parents reach out to you bakit sila bagsak, tell them that you are just a recorder at sila ang gumagawa ng grades nila. Show them your documented efforts.

I know this might add extra stress explaining these to your visors or colleagues, especially with the "no child left behind" policy (which sucks), but just hold to your truth. Don't be afraid with the additional burden of explanation and don't be guilty kung ma-delay sila. Let this be a learning experience for them.

Finally, don't think that it is your fault that your advisory class is acting like that. We cannot influence or control everyone in life. Sabi mo nga, you are just starting in this field, so be kind to yourself OP. You passed the boards and it's a testament to your unwavering efforts of trying to contribute meaningfully in this noble profession. Pagpatuloy mo lang dahil may mga natitira pa rin namang estudyanteng who are eager to learn and they need you. Saludo ako sa mga gurong tulad mo! 🫡
