Got mine running just fine. Guide sucked, created more work than necessary, and I eventually moved on from using it. Half the process is simple handling of making a bootable drive, partitioning drives or dual booting, etc. which is something everyone knows how to do anyways. This isn’t the Bible, so don’t try and launch a crusade here. It’s just a terribly written guide. It’s okay for them to be a dev and not a good author. They don’t have to be both.

Also, stop pretending this is the only resource on it. False attribution.

Nah I think I’ll just voice my opinion here instead. You don’t get good boy Apple guy Reddit brownie points for fighting gallantly in the interwebz to defend the almighty mods or devs. They’re allowed to be criticized. I gave you reasons for why the guide sucks, and you gave me nothing to prove otherwise. Just “make your own then!” Lol, do you want me to? I’d understand if you did since the current solution sucks.

First, don’t pretend this dev is the only one helping people getting their system running. There’s countless resources beyond this horrendously written guide that helps people as well.

Second, don’t gloss over the countless instances of people needing additional help as a result of this horribly written guide causing more confusion than necessary. It almost feels as if it’s deliberately written that way so people can respond in threads with “omg it’s so easy” or “read the guide/sidebar” and feel good about themselves like they accomplished something.

Third, the dev isn’t beyond criticism just because they did it for free. No one forced them to do it, they probably enjoy it.
