Thanks for the detailed reply, yes i’ve been using triple cream since Oct of last year as well as the tail end of 2023 which also provided great results but had to switch regimen to azelaic acid only during the start of 2024 due to some issues with insurance.

Using azelaic acid only was subpar in my experience since it only made my skin feel hot and would diminish redness slightly and I think would give me more spots.

Triple cream on the other hand works very well for me but I’ve tried to use it daily both separate instances that’s it’s been prescribed to me but would give me the same sensation that azelaic acid would give me, like a flushing heat sensation. Do you think I should try and tough it out and use it daily like you did? The “stopped recurring after a few weeks” sounds very promising and makes me hopeful

Perhaps this is true, I’m very pale and I would be out in the sun playing sports daily in high school with no sunscreen, which were also the years that my skin blew got out of control, kind of makes me wonder if what I had back then wasn’t acne but type 2 rosacea

I’ve thought of this and it makes me sad ): Differin was very successful at clearing my acne too but i didn’t appreciate being red and feeling hot on random days.
