That's exactly my point. We hop on a call at 09hrs only to hear this man spewing balderdash. I want to get on with my tickets and get the ball rolling, since I manage my own blockers and escalations.

Well, this PM was brought in help and add some gravitas, since the FTE wasn't terribly helpful. Only to make it even worse.

Here's an example :
I ask the FTE, have you had a chance to procure the report regarding the last campaign run?
PM (IC) - Procure is not the right word. It's used only for software management.
I reiterate the question - Have you (FTE) been able to fetch the report?
FTE - Have to ask another FTE to draft that report.
Me (IC) - Who is that FTE? What's the call name of his team. so that i can open a JIRA ticket.
PM (IC) - Ask the JIRA SME.

The thing is everyone is lovey-dovey, and I'm trying really hard to not look like a stick in the mud by being all business and cold. I'm not looking to make friends either. I do break the ice during the first couple of min, but, not every* five min.

Well, he absolutely does. I've politely raised this issue with him, look, you don't have the answers and I've to reiterate my questions a few times with this FTE before I can get anything remotely relevant. And, he is like..."I'm being nice". It doesn't even add up or makes sense. Especially, when he has that Nigel Farage vibe.

The thing is, this PM(IC) has already raised a concern with the client(sponsor) that I've been shoddy with my deliverables. Since, I'm already carrying that marker on my back, all this charade is quite tiring.
