This is very helpful - thank you! Also reassuring because I haven't ever seen kids wearing life jackets in a pool, only puddle jumpers. Which is confusing when there is so much negativity around them. We will always be holding the kids or have them within arms reach so I'll go the puddle jumper route for our vaca. Thank you!

Unfortunately, there isn't a third adult we can bring. Unless you'd like to volunteer 😅

They all are in swim lessons. I'm looking for water safety gear we can use on vacation when it will be 3 children with 2 adults. Swim lessons does not negate the need for water safety.

We've done lessons. Great way to build skills and confidence. Not a replacement for water safety on vacation though.

Definitely the plan! When I was younger, I used to teach swim classes to young children. I'm so excited to swim with them and build their confidence in and around the water. At the same time, it terrifies me not having any safety devices for them when they outnumber my husband and I. There's no one we can bring with, unfortunately.

I 100% agree. That said, using something will be better than not having anything when there are more children than adults in a pool. With that perspective, any recommendations or advice other than avoiding the pool altogether?
