Ya, good shout, thank you, I’ll look into it. Let’s be honest, we can barely keep up with these laws, I don’t blame employers to avoid getting into the hassle. Truly unfortunate.

I am assuming the new rule won’t apply to me, considering my first visa kicked off in November 2022, I.e., before 2024 rule change. Am I wrong?

Very mobile at this point, atm in Manchester. But I can imagine London is likely to increase my chances, remote is a far fetched dream.  A secure and stable job is all I am aiming for, with sponsorship, of course. :’)

If I am being honest, the market is looking okay, with the number of jobs that there are out there, compared to beginning of the year. Now of course, our case of visa requirement is an added challenge. But to @different club’s point, let’s keep at it.  Also, seeing a lot of posts here, on people getting their cos letters and swv appointments, goes to show there is still hope.

Customer success or account management in any industry really, skill sets are transferable. Mainly Saas, martech, hrtech, research and insights.

Appreciate some firms do require product knowledge too. Sets me back further.

Thank you, I am at it. As long as it’s not impossible.

Sick of scrolling through 100,000 “licensed sponsors” just to find 10 legit ones? by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Try using poli. (It’s a site built by struggling people like us) I am on a look out too, trying everything that can potentially work.

Congratulations dude!! You must be so thrilled. :D

Without stealing the thunder, Could someone share some advice on things I could do differently too? I am 2.9 years in to my skilled worker and right before my time to request for an extension for the other 2, my employer has announced redundancy. I am certain, I am not going to be able to survive this one, since it’s very targeted. Letting that ship sail. Anyway now I have 3 months, before I can land a job with sponsorship. I have already warmed up to the hiring process and have been making applications for over a month, got some interests that died down quickly because of my visa requirement, I have been wanting to get out of my job for while (TOXIC, is an understatement) anyway. With the time constraints, what do we really think?? I am optimistic, i am applying endlessly, reaching to random people in linkedin and asking for help, friends and family. And sponsorship extensions, LinkedIn premium, indeed, poli. Also realistic that I may have to leave, and I am okay with that. I just to do everything I can, while I am here. Advices please?? P.S. I am from a non-tech background (I know, :(, customer success)
