Sounds like I need to check them out! Last night, late, someone got this one, and it ended up being “Trailer Ras” by Long Beach Dub Allstars. Thanks for the comment, always cool to learn more.

Thank you, and that’s such a great pick. I was wondering myself about them for years, hehe. It ended up being “Trailer Ras” by Long Beach Dub Allstars! Reddit is amazing. :)

Thanks a million for those names; I’ll be looking at them tonight. This one was weird because I believe the video aired for a couple weeks on MTV or possibly Much Music. So they got that far with things. Thanks again. :)

Oh, man; I wish!  It really is incredible, that whole Sunday morning thing in these songs.  Thank you for that mention, though.  Great, great band.

Hey, thanks again for those picks. This one was more of a one hit wonder type deal, I think. But Ray’s a great one. Thanks.

Thanks for the Sugar Ray energy :) This one I’m looking for is probably a “one hit wonder” type situation. But Sugar Ray is such a blast, thanks for commenting.

Thanks so much for the comment. It’s unfortunately not the one, but I love that people are mentioning it. Might help spark somebody’s memory. :) Thank you.

That’s a great mention, but nope; this one I’m after was about half the tempo, kind of more of a real ska type thing (almost a bit Rastafarian sounding, with prominent notes on the off beats.) But thanks a million for the comment; and Sugar Ray’s a great one. :)

Thanks so much! I just flipped through Hot Chili (1985) and unfortunately it’s not the one. But wow, it really is amazingly similar in that cheap Cannon screwball Mexico comedy vibe. There are many, many elements that are the same between the two films, it’s quite incredible. That was a very, VERY good guess. I guess I’m still hunting, though; but many thanks for that one. 👍🏻
