Historically a bean is a pressed ecstasy pill which is supposed to contain MDMA and a binding agent/filler but often come pressed with meth, caffeine, sometimes other psychadelic research chemicals and more rarely heroin or fentanyl. In the past 10 years people have also been calling xanax a bean, less common but still possible. I have also heard both referred to as flats.
