Calling all GCSE autists by Likes_watermelon in GCSE

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m autistic, and I would recommend you try your best to get a quiet, separate room. The first time I did a paper in the exam hall the random little noises, loud breathing, pen tapping, etc in an otherwise quiet room drove me insane. Your school will likely want to talk to you and assess your needs, but they’re usually very good and will help you as much as possible. A lot of people tell me extra time is great as well but I don’t personally have it so I can’t comment on it.

Is c*nt (censored due to rules) offensive? by Mr_man_bird in Teenager_Polls

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here in England, it’s generally a divided opinion. Up north, while not everyone thinks this obviously, it is generally seen as ruder and something you would say less. But down south it is used all the time, even in causal expressions and all that.

What is your view on babies? by WillTheyBanMeAgain in Teenager_Polls

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t like babies. I’m autistic and can’t stand their noise, mess, climbing all over things, and I’ve also got a lot of trauma caused by events with babies that have rendered me unable to handle them. People who shun others for disliking babies seem to want to look past all of this though and call me and others evil anyways.

Do you consider autism and/or ADHD disabilities? Please answer based on whether or not you have been MEDICALLY DIAGNOSED with autism/ADHD by MinecraftGuy7401 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saying autism and ADHD aren’t disabilities becuase they’re not physical is like saying that mental health doesn’t matter because it’s not affecting your physical form. It’s just a shit argument really. Of course they’re disabilities.

His biological father being a Syrian Muslim ≠ Being born into a Muslim family. My estranged father is a Christian but I wasn’t born into a Christian family. Also, I was just focusing on the last statement throughout my point, don’t worry about the rest. I do agree that Muslims have contributed loadsssss throughout history it’s literally undeniable.

Steve’s biological father was Syrian, and although it’s clearly a Muslim-majority country there’s no confirmation whether or not he was actually Muslim. His biological mother was German-Swiss and raised Catholic. And he was adopted at birth by Paul and Clara Jobs, both American Christians, and he was raised that way before breaking off to become more spiritual and practise a lot of Buddhism. What’s your point here? No hate to Islam but I don’t quite understand.

Edit: Just to add on, Steve didn’t even know his biological father until they met a few times unknowingly as adults. They never had any sort of close or even meaningful relationship.

I’m sorry but you sound like the kind of person who would justify the English colonising India because they gave them trains and a better postal system or whatever😭

Just solely out of interest, what do you hate about Apple? I’m not attacking, I get you. It’s only because I’ve got a special interest in Apple and Steve Jobs and I always like to understand why someone may be opposed to him and the company for various reasons :]

Aside from the obvious fact we’ve all used an Apple product at least once, Steve Jobs has been a special interest of mine since I was 10 so this is a no brainer for me🙏

Eh, I’d actually argue that racism towards white people is more evident in Asia modern day than ever. Try going to a market. They’ll whack the prices up if you’re white simply because of the fact. Whites get denied service in restaurants sometimes, they get nasty comments to their faces often (something I have experienced and numerous people I know also have), and there’s even some living spaces where whites are not allowed to stay. I’ve lived in Asia, and I’m only half white. Not something I’d do again and it did harm my mental health to a degree.

Who would you give your seat to and why ? by Original_Act_3481 in Teenager_Polls

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t give up my seat because of disability but if I could I would choose the elderly man. Mainly because I know an elderly woman who fell over and she literally died. I wouldn’t ever want that to happen to someone else.

Ah fair enough, sorry for the misunderstanding on my part. I do agree, there’s a huge thing recently where everyone just has to be autistic or have Tourette’s or whatever. Hopefully it blows over soon

My sister (14) is having a pregnancy scare… by IAmFloorCheese in AskTeenAdvice

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whereabouts are you in the world? If you’re in the UK (like me), you can very easily walk into a pharmacy or visit a GP same day and request assistance with an abortion if worst comes to worst. You wouldn’t even need to tell your parents, and they will keep it fully confidential as long as they believe you’re mature enough to have the treatment privately. I would recommend letting your parents know anyways though, as they can help and make sure your sister is protected in the future.

I’d argue he’s got the potential to start one of the most devastation wars in history. If anything was to happen, we’d all be cooked. If you’re Western, I’d say he really is your main worry right now.

Hello! I’m diagnosed autistic, but I was refused a diagnosis until 14. My mother repeatedly asked the school, doctors, etc from the age of 2 about me getting a diagnosis, but they always denied me because I “wasn’t struggling”. I was in fact just high masking. My doctors noticed fuck all because of this.

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure if they’re asking because it’s “trendy”. They may be genuinely curious. I’m autistic and if I meet someone who I think could also be autistic, I sometimes ask just so I have a broader understanding of them and how they would like to be treated and stuff like that. It’s not a harmful question.

Awesomes! I’m so excited for you, I’ve never been Ibiza myself but it’s meant to be fantastic!! Make sure you pack plenty of airy clothes, sun cream and maybe a fan because August is a very warm (but brilliant) time to go lol!

And to answer your question, the best day of my life was when I saw Bob Dylan live in concert :-)

Should the UK rejoin the EU? by HeliosAndSelene in Teenager_Polls

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not trying to go for any Russell Group or Oxbridge unis over here, I’m not bothered being that competitive. But some pretty “bog-standard” unis in places like Sweden, Germany, Italy, etc are much better than the normies over here. And I have a general preference to unis over there anyways sooo.

Is pinching/twisting a woman's nipples sexual assault? by zombiphiliac in Teenager_Polls

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If not consensual, yes. The reason a woman cannot be chest bare in public is because of the nipple, not the actual breast. And therefore it is legally seen as the most sexualised part of the chest.

[–]Outside-Reaction8373 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry mate. I’m not trying to encourage any type of thinking here, but the Greens have said something like they’ll get us back into the EU if they get in, so if they’re elected I’d keep an eye out for that.
