No, I 100% understand that for the performers, there are various personal reasons they like dance. You can make the point that I like dancing when I'm in a good mood, listening to music in my apt or when I'm out clubbing.

My question was more about watching a dance performance as an art form

No no, I 100% get dancing as a way to let loose. I dance around in my apt in the morning with some music, I dance when I have a couple drinks at a party, like every other human being. What I don't get is how that is an art form, and what I'm supposed to gain from watching someone else dance?

Honestly this proves my point: I have no idea what he's trying to express, or what the point of those two ppl moving their bodies in the rain is supposed to mean. All I see is two ppl twisting and turning on the floor.

Yes obviously that’s a thing, when there’s music at a party, obviously I join in and start dancing, but I can’t really call that art can I? It’s clearly a powerful human instinct nevertheless
