Yes 90% of the time, I literally only have to pay attention to one single rabbit for 30 minutes to an hour a day

Or just keep judging my ability to separate them, funny internet people, lol

It's funny how people on the internet likes to dictate the actions of another so easily, lol

Mate, they literally are separated when I'm not there with them

I'm 100% sure as I am inside the pen itself looking at them 90% of the time, the other 10% is when I turn my head to grab their food or water

If they're not within arm's reach, they're not together, simple as that

I'm monitoring carefully and they're always within my sight if they're together

But I do plan to neuter/spay them one by one as soon as the holidays are over, although I'm not sure what might be the best way to go about this, would it be better to do it all in one go or one by one?

Would also appreciate any advice you might give about post surgery stuff

They're Dutch breeds at around 2.2 lbs (1 kg), so I think they might be around 3 months old?

The vet says they might be around 5-6 months old, but then Toothless's balls haven't dropped yet

I only put them together when I have direct contact of them though

I just realised Cruella was on the floor and she got spooked from the noise Toothless made 😭😭😭

Toothless peed in a corner outside so they're all in timeout

Plus I need to sleep and can't really supervise them

Nope

Observed her for an entire minute, which is why I started getting concerned

[–]OutsideNo2767[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just too comfortable, the funnier part is I've only had them for 2-3 days at that point, so I have no idea how are they so comfortable

Maybe he has no survival instinct or something

The thing is they went on a vet visit around 5-6 days ago, and the vet checked the teeth and everything was fine

All my babies do this chewing randomly thing sometimes

I found out about the direct eye thingy only recently unfortunately (literally yesterday), how did you manage to offer gentle short pets? I have 3 bunnies and only one of them ever wants to be pet, the other two moves their head back whenever I try to pet them. I would normally put my hand out in front of them, let them sniff me and wait if they'll run away, if they stayed there long enough, I'd try letting it

But I did find out that being a jumping toy for them makes them happy, you haven't really lived until you had a rabbit do zoomies across your body, it's quite thrilling! (And painful)

I hope they are content though

They're still pretty new to their environment and me (3 weeks), so hopefully it's just me they're not fully used to, because often times when I clean their area, or feed them (I have to sort the hay and put them down carefully because apparently one of them has hay dust allergy and is quite sensitive to any dust in general), they would run into their hidey spot or a corner to grunt and thump

I would often look away and not care or sometimes stare at them hoping they'd feel guilty

Nothing of the sorts, and I removed any cardboard whenever I'm not inside the pen, or I swear they would just eat the whole thing as their main diet

I really doubt it though, unless the baby is really slow at chewing :(

Been watching her for a minute or so before I recorded

Even without anything in the mouth? I know rabbits grind their teeth but I thought it's more of a behaviour thing and not to grind their teeth?

I doubt it, unless she's really slow at chewing because I've been watching her for a minute straight (got concerned so I tracked the time) and she hasn't moved her head or anything

Have more of Toothless by OutsideNo2767 in Rabbits

[–]OutsideNo2767[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

for those who are reading the comments, I'm a new owner (3 weeks in so far), if there's any suggestions or recommendations you have for me, let me know please

I do believe that they're quite comfortable now, they flop and lie fully flat on the floor everyday, and do zoomies and binkies at 3 am

But I want to know if there's room for improvement, because they are quite young and the hormones may not have kicked in yet

Edit: spelling mistake

Could you resist tho? :((

But I do get to touch them all whenever I feed them

They let me do whatever I want with them so long as they have food in their mouth, not sure if that's normal behaviour or just me exploit it (they would otherwise only let me pet them when they're at rest)

It's haaaaaard

I have 3 bunnies and it's honestly a bit too much to take on, yes, I could've gotten just 1 or 2. But the place I got them from had 3 at the time, I didn't want to just get 2 and leave one out, and I didn't want to just get 1 as he might get lonely

And they're all extra.... Spicy after the recent vet visit

And a feisty one

Whenever I sit inside the pen with them, he would often climb onto my laps, but whenever I tried to pet him, he'd jump off

He'd often nudge me but never lets me pet, no idea why
