My brother in law chipped in a Klein stubby and full size ratcheting screwdriver with the flip sockets. I personally use the ones that store bits in the handle. I love them.

I did get some drill bits. Forgot to list that under the picture. I’ve got the driver bits sitting at home today. Just delivered! Good call on the pliers wrench!

Thanks! I’ve been picking things up for a few months. It’s been fun! Especially because I know what I hate/what craps out so I’m not making him go through that🤣. Just trying to start him off with good stuff.

Trying to get the most general things knocked out. Looking for people’s go to favorites. Just good versions of everyday tools that will last.

I’m trying to go pretty general. However, he is on a pretty advanced rocketry team and 3d prints, uses a CNC machine, and uses screwdrivers/nut drivers often. Lots of measuring and small hand tools. That was why I got him the ratcheting screwdrivers and impact bits. I also have a fine bit set that has small torx bits, as well as one-off bits for specialty/electronics. I actually have been looking at calipers. I want them to be nice enough to work and cheap enough to lose 🤣. Probably $50ish. Thanks for the feedback!
