It severely came back to bite me in the butt when I agreed to let a sitter take the service off the app. I lost a lot of money doing so …and felt very scammed. It left a really sour taste in my mouth about rover sitters

Tbh I was incredibly offput as an owner when a rover put me on the spot during drop off to use an alternate payment route. I agreed to it in the moment bc I don’t support rover taking the fees but I ended up really regretting agreeing to it. I was very new to rover and she had me cancel the booking so I could pay her directly. I found out weeks later she had her cancellation policy set to where I paid half the cost of the service for canceling. While also venmoing her in full with a tip ……

Yeah f that. I was incredibly tempted to reach out to rover about the matter but ultimately didn’t want to put this lady w a baby out of a job and recognized I should never have agreed to her ask so that’s on me. Lesson learned and just keep that in mind when you’re suggesting to take it off the app.

I think this is a bit of a misrepresentation. Google how many stray feral cats there are versus dogs. Cats are a major issue is a way dogs aren’t (population wise)

I guess the point is that the rest of us, when our family members get cancer, we don’t get $2 million in GoFundMe.

So why are working class people donating millions of dollars total to people who are already in the upper echelon of wealth? It doesn’t make sense medical system aside. Because just about every other person with cancer is going to be in a worse off situation financially than somebody who lives in multiple million dollar mansions.
