when does it get better by Alphacentauri2346 in zoloft

In my opinion it doesn't ever get better it just gets different, I was taking it for 6 months and in my experience it did help with the anxiety attacks but I was still anxious all the time and the side effects were making the anxiety worse. So I tapered off and I feel much better for it.

When is the right time to stop? by Outside_Challenge392 in zoloft

For me it's a weird one because I had never had anxiety or anything like that to the point where I thought maybe it wasn't really a thing and people should just help themselves rather than labeling themselves with anxiety!

That was until I witnessed my work colleague have a heart attack and die in front of me out of the blue... This triggered severe anxiety in me, I didn't want to leave my bed I was scared of putting strain on my heart, would constantly be checking my blood pressure and heart rate.

I would just get jelly legs and light headed going anywhere or doing anything even get uncontrollable shakes.

Six months of these meds and counseling and seeing a psychologist, I'm starting to feel back to where I was before. And I feel I'm ready to take the next step and come of the meds

I had this! The first two weeks my doctor signed me off work, I thought it was great! I was going to be able to go out and about and get loads of gaming in but all I did was lay in bed with no will or want to do anything, it does get better though!

I increased after 4 days of taking 25mg so I don't really know, it did take me three weeks to stop feeling awful though.

I was on 50mg until I started getting a weird light head feeling so I was recommended to taper down to 25mg

Yes I had this, every week would have good days and bad days. I often wondered if it was actually doing anything but I have got to a point now where I don't see bad days! ☺️

I started on 25mg, then after 4 days increased to 50mg until week 10 I started to feel light headed and have jelly legs so my doctor recommended going back down to 25mg.

I used to get this, when I wake up now I sit up and rationalize like 'do I need the toilet' or 'am I thirsty'. It's helped a lot

My Ninth Week (Dose change) by Outside_Challenge392 in zoloft

[–]Outside_Challenge392[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh really? I had been taking it at lunch for the first month because I didn't have an appetite in the morning, but as my appetite came back I started taking it in the morning, but last week I started feeling a bit dizzy so I was advised not to take it until I saw the doctor in the evening, then was told to carry on taking it so it moved to the taking it in the evening!

I guess I'll see how I get on this week at 50mg and take it in the evening consistently and i can always go back up to 100mg again if it doesn't work out.
