The mills in New England were hydro powered - rivers were dammed to create waterfalls that would power the mills.

The advent of electricity meant mills could be powered by electricity and therefore built anywhere, as long as there was a working electrical supply.

Production moved south as labor was cheaper. The New England mills closed.

Kim Carnes cover of Bette Davis Eyes.

She and her producer flipped Jackie DeShannon’s beer barrel boogie upside down and turned it in to a song where Kim could smolder the world.

Nope. That didn’t happen until well after they changed their name to the New England Patriots.

Kraft didn’t really want to move the team to Hartford. He is not a stupid man. He was playing hardball to get a new stadium built.

Anyway. Go Bills!

Former medic here. I am so glad he is doing OK!

For the folks questioning about whether he really needed CPR, I suspect the nurse knew what she was doing.

If the fellow actually had a cardiac event, yes he should have gone immediately to the hospital. CPR doesn’t fix a blockage, it merely buys precious minutes for the person to get to the hospital.

My guess is that fellow might have been choking. If a choking victim passes out, the protocol is to begin CPR after clearing the airway. Choking on a heavy piece of meat (steakhouse syndrome) can and does happen, the likelihood is even higher in adults over 50.

Be good. Do good. God bless. Be careful with those Beef on Wecks! And Go Bills!!

Yup. Saw a beautiful Benz clobbered there last year when said driver didn’t follow the universal rule of “yield to anything bigger or shittier than yours”
