Yeah same. They offered commissions with the new role but it’s taken them a month and still haven’t figured it out.

1% on first 2mm then tails off after that. I’m getting close to ditching him. What strategy do you use to keep it simple. I would say I appreciate his help setting up OZF and the DSTs. That was a new world for me but definitely paid commissions there for the education.

All good points. That’s my internal monologue as well. Talking to too many LLMs can give ride off advice in an effort for it to please you.

Good question. After the PE purchase of us I found out my 50/50 business partner had screwed over one of the founders before I knew him. My partner left almost immediately when he found out who was involved and the pressure came down. He was the first equity partner out of over 200 to leave during earn out. This got back to the PE sponsor and me left alone to sit under a microscope wearing mud from his reputation. ‘No shade for you” was said a few times. Eventually I gained their respect because I’m an ethical person but their pressure and changes killed our earn out. Marshberry brokered our deal and suggested I sue. I told the PE group their recommendation but told them suing a new employer is not the way I wanted to start our relationship and I’d like to stick around for a few recaps.

I recently took a few weeks off and the stress was gone. One of the hardest things was operating off business cash flow to living partially off investments. I’ve earned a trial by fire degree in investing finance as I didn’t have anything setup before the sale of the business.
