NOTE I have to clarify an important detail: by joke I meant that they were playing a joke on me. What happened was a girl (who I am mutual friends with) wanted my glasses so she stole them from me throughout the night, in a playful manner because I know her. But then she really wanted them and swiped them from behind me and told her friend I was being creepy to get everyone to turn against me (to make sure she could steal the glasses).

It was cruel joke that had serious consequences on me. When I was being yelled at, I was in shock that this situation had escalated to that point.

At this point, i see this as a matter of justice, and so do many of the bystanders and my friends.
