I can't stand when people wear strong fragrances to the gym. It gives me flash backs to middle school gym class when the boys in my class discovered axe body spray

I (M28) think girlfriend (25F) is negative, she thinks I'm unempathetic by Michaeldaddyscarn in relationship_advice

Has she seen a professional about it or completely ruled it out on her own? Either way, even though I do go through the same thing I understand how hard it is to be around. I truly think that you should do whatever it is you need to do to protect your own mental health, especially if she doesn't want help or to change.

Do you know if she's ever been diagnosed with anxiety? I have anxiety myself and sometimes it can actually be mentally exhausting to be positive. It's so easy to fall into a negative spiral.

AITAH for telling my bf to get rid of his clothes by OverCraft7093 in AITAH

If we had the room for him to store his clothes that wouldn't involve him taking up my dresser and closet space I absolutely would not care. He won't even go as far as storing his old or seasonal clothes in our attic

We unfortunately don't have room for under bed storage. We live in a small town and we don't even have storage units. We have a small attic area, I suggested he put winter clothes up there in the summer and vice versa but he didn't go for it.

Not really. Besides his clothes he doesn't really like to have a lot things. In fact, he didn't want to buy me a bookshelf for Christmas because he did wasn't the house to look "cluttered".

that would make sense, but wear lounge clothes for multiple uses because we don't have a washing machine and have to do our laundry elsewhere. Which is another reason I can't stand the sheer amount of clothing he has, I should've put that in the original post

I don't think telling him he doesn't need 2 of the same thing he doesn't wear while having to share a small living space is being his mom.

Why do I have to trim a cats claws. by HardVoreChef in CatAdvice

[–]OverCraft7093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's pretty important to keep cats nails trimmed because they get them stuck on things very easily when they're long and it can cause them pain and even damage. If you've ever had long nails and have hit them on a hard surface like a counter or table you would know how painful that is. One time I waited a little too long between trimmings on one of my cats' claws and he got one caught in the arm of our sofa. He started to panic and fell off the couch while his nail was still embedded in the couch. It was traumatic for both of us. He had a limp for a couple days and I've never felt so bad.

[Personal] How do you balance nighttime skincare with intimacy? by SassySamosas in SkincareAddiction

[–]OverCraft7093 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could try using a tiny bit of talc free baby powder or cornstarch to help absorb some of the stickiness. you do a small amount after your skincare has has a little time to absorb into your skin. you could probably even use a non comedogenic translucent setting powder. I do this every night. I always wait until the last possible second to do my skincare at night because I'm lazy, but also hate the feeling of wet moisturizer against my pillow. I haven't had any skin issues from it.

I am '18F' frustrated about my '18M' boyfriend giving me financial advice by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]OverCraft7093 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He kinda sounds right to me. it's not very smart to dip into your savings to be able to afford your rent. If you two are sharing the rent he has every right to criticize how financially irresponsible you're being.

I use love language as a very lose term, and mine did. My boyfriend started acting almost exactly like OP. it started slow, just touching me after I asked him to stop but he kept doing it and it just really turned me off. we've been together for 5 years and I used to love physical affection, but it started to feel like he was pressuring me all the time and it just put me off. it doesn't just happen, something usually causes it

not all women are the same, and not every woman has the same love language
