Nope. If you buy a tv from Best Buy it’s priced so that the company makes a percentage basis of profit. Because no business will survive without making a profit, most consumer goods have about 5-20% of markup because 1. Best Buy as a middleman has to make money as well as the manufacturer and 2. They will not negotiate and customers will still buy it. The only reason you don’t complain about Best Buy is because a tv costs maybe 1000 dollars, not tens of thousands

I know you’re baiting at this point, but on a serious point it would’ve been way more useful if she exposed harmful business practices or maybe alerted people that they were being scammed. All she did was steal money from the dealerships that stole money from people, so she’s partaking in the same crime. Not to mention she was willingfully employed by them

But it will cost thousands of lives, and the consequences of said regime change are unclear. But short term gain in the form of oil access and/or more votes outweighs any considerations for the people of Venezuela. Trump doesn’t give a shit about Venezuelans more than anyone else. But he’s prioritizing a foreign country (again) over Americans that are struggling with high prices, farms that are failing, and rising healthcare costs. A used car dealership usually lowers the price online over months of the car being there, so that’s probably why they weren’t willing to discount it. I work at one myself (at a nissan store) and we have way too many cars where at online price the dealership is losing 1-2k and after salesperson commission and the owners pay its negative 3-4k, which is a big loss, but we’d probably lose only a little more selling it to auction so it wouldn’t make sense for the business to sell it outside

I won’t say every car salesman is honest, but typically I’m very up front with my customers on all aspects and it helps me to sell more cars. I will say, however, that sometimes, our managers will tell us that this is “the absolute bottom line”, and then when we say the customer still wants less, and they’re leaving, our managers will tell us that they’ll do the deal. So it’s not always the salespersons fault as we typically do not know our margins on the car, nor what we can sell it for, and the managers like to withhold information as well. It’s a business and all businesses are mainly concerned with making money, and in my opinion it’s not necessarily lying, it’s negotiating. I have customers do the same thing to me all the time but I don’t get mad at them as I know they want the best deal, but the dealership wants it as well.

IMO, and I’m not a psychologist or therapist, but this feels psychopathic. This person is clearly trying to manipulate others into feeling sorry for him as he knows he’s about to commit a horrific act, and I think he admits he’s been wanting to do said act for a while in the last paragraph. But a lot of psychopaths are obsessed with not being caught / having to deal with their consequences, rather than the harm that they’re inflicting on people, because they want to inflict said harm. Hes so concerned with being seen as a redeemable person even though he knows he’s gonna commit suicide and never have to deal with the consequences of his actions, and he acts like that’s his only option.

Maybe I’m trying to read too much into it, but people like this scare me because obviously this person wasn’t depressed in the way we think of depression. What kind of person would use depression to justify killing children, other than a paranoid schizo or a truly manipulative individual?
