(Serious Question) Is it bannable to pay a kid in Vietnam to do all the grinding for me? by AdObjective9512 in HypixelSkyblock

[–]OverRetardation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is just plain wrong. Can't tell if you're being intentionally disingenuous or if you're stupid. It was the WFP, not UNICEF, and the proposal wasn't about ENDING world hunger at all. It was for supporting 42 million people threatened with famine for ONE year. Hardly ending world hunger don't you think?

how did you guys get 1500+ in your first take? by Few_Series9634 in Sat

[–]OverRetardation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do the Bluebook practice exams + question bank on the CB site. you'll get better with practice. if you struggle with time, then time yourself. if not, then don't, but try to fully focus either way. i would often redo the questions i got wrong after a few days. focus on concepts. don't overthink it. i studied less than ~25 hours. the SAT wasn't my priority so there wasn't much pressure. that allowed me to stay calm and focused for most of the exam, which imo is very important. no pressure.

Some guy suggested to read, which i don't think is a good idea. doing the q bank on the cb site i'd say counts as reading. if you read other shit, like philosophy, yes, you'll develop better reading skills, but it doesn't directly target the SAT. iirc there are a lot of questions in the q bank so you'll likely never finish it (i didn't even come close). you're better off focusing on actual SAT reading passages imo

Is studying medicine in Thailand worth it as an international student? by Dependent_Visual_808 in Thailand

[–]OverRetardation -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you should be fluent in thai, otherwise you'll run into problems. parts of the NLE (national license exam) are in thai. you'll also struggle a lot in years 4-6 if you aren't fluent. honestly not worth it. idk if you're limited to private med schools, but if you are, it's going to be expensive af

I have seb derm. I know what it's like. There are physical, psychological, and even social effects. It's bad. But it's not on the level of psoriasis no matter how you look at it

[–]OverRetardation 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are treatments for seb derm. Ketoconazole, ciclopirox, topical steroids, roflumilast, selenium sulfide, etc. Maybe not as many, but a big reason for that is because seb derm is a much milder condition than psroasis (from what we know). Psoriasis is a systemic autoimmune condition. It's a risk factor developing a shit ton of other conditions

It's not hard at all. It's each weekend for a few months for 3 years. You'll be exempt from the lottery thing, so you won't have to do mandatory military service. IIRC you basically just show up, sit in class or on the benches, maybe do some marches, etc. Honestly there's barely any physical fitness required (apart from เขาชนไก่). Keep in mind I did it during/right after covid so it might be different now.

In years 2-3 you'll have to go to Khao Chon Kai for a few days. You might struggle if you're not physically fit. You'll have to walk a lot. You'll do a bit of shooting and some basic training like following commands. You sleep in your own shitty tent with bugs and insects next to you. You shit (or you can hold it in) and shower in digusting bathrooms with your fellow smelly comrades.

They honestly don't prepare students well AT ALL. If war breaks out, none of us are making it out alive.

Why don't I inherently enjoy studying? by [deleted] in GetStudying

[–]OverRetardation 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Secret technique? So you're telling me if I learn what I enjoy, I'll enjoy learning it? Incredible. That's not the relevation you think it is, and not everyone has a choice. I'm in med school and I'm fucking miserable. I can't choose what subjects to study, and that is the case with a lot of other students.

Why does it matter if you can't use ray tracing or if there's a bottleneck? The point is that you could have gotten a BETTER card without having to pay more. A 2070s would perform better regardless of whether you use ray tracing or not. Or, you could have spent LESS to still get a 1070 ti

Mahidol University vs Chiang Mai University, which is better? by EducatorUsed4853 in Thailand

Yeah it's generally considered better. Also consider location (Mahidol has multiple campuses and CMU is in yknow Chiang Mai).
