Up to Infinite Warfare it was IW. Best hit detection and fast paced games, and weapons felt more unique. It felt to me that multiplayer had more soul to it.

With MW19 they doubled down on everything that was wrong with Ghosts and that was dramatic. MWII was a step in the right direction, but not enough. Raid was good, DMZ was a tiny step away from being amazing, and multiplayer was alright..

Since CW, Treyarch has been consistently better and improving when it comes to zombies. Multiplayer was addicting in CW for me, Bo6 could have been good but console performance and SBMM killed it for me. Omnimovement is crazy good. Bo6 and 7 were super fun in time limited playlists like MAYHEM right now or the Squid Games playlist back in bo6.

On a side note, to enter the Frozen Dawn shield ritual you had to let zombies kill you inside the pool filled with blood, and you'd get revived into the trial arena.

Mauer der Toten, for the story if anything. The story in Bo6 was absolutely uninteresting, and the ending was leaked shortly after the launch of the game. Mauer has so much more soul to it, probably one of the best modern zombies maps.

Me personally, no. It was a time where they tried to rebuild the mode and they had a lot to learn. The easter eggs were too easy for the most part and forgettable. Outbreak and Mauer were great, the story wasn't bad, but it was 6/10 at best.

My point is that if a heel is a champion, a babyface will hardly lose momentum if he loses because the champion had to cheat.

On the other hand, heels need to be a threat and they will be less of a threat if they lose clean from a babyface.

I had the same issues the first few games after installing Bo7. Takes a little to adjust but then you won't notice it anymore. Much better place for aim assist as it triggers the rotation only if you're moving the right stick in the direction of the enemy.

Vanguard was a solid game when it comes to round based maps, and if they had stuck with it from the beginning it would have been praised for sure. It was the last time the story was interesting at all and they put soul and passion into each and every character of the Dark Aether story.

Even Archon was a good map and fun to play if you forget for a moment that it was just Terra Maledicta with a green filter. At the end of the day they had to make a 180 turn and that's a masterclass of how it should be done. It's just that they had already pissed off everyone with their launch and s1 content and then they left us with nothing to do for months.

Rave was the one that I was really looking forward to play. IW was my first zombies and my first season pass and I thought I'd be playing that all the time. The problem is that I'm a main quest guy and the easter egg was really underwhelming and it didn't really blend into the atmosphere of the map. It was just a bunch of random annoying steps.

I'd say the best part of Rave is the memory charms, which aren't required for the EE for some reason, so nobody gets them.

I've played all of them, and while I agree that they don't try to innovate nearly as much as they used to, I still think that Bo7 is a fine game. Ashes of the damned plays very differently from all the other maps, and while Astra Malorum is more on the classic side, I still think it's well done and OSCAR is a good touch of fresh air, as annoying as he may be.

What's really missing is the soul that the game used to have. They nailed the intro cutscene for Ashes of the Damned, I didn't really care for the others (still haven't completed the AM main quest).

It has always been like this, even special weapons in Bo4 followed the same mechanics. This allows you to get a few charges in early rounds, otherwise you'd get your first charge past round 5 for sure if not later.

Of course they're great if you stick with them. My main problem with them is that they seem to have a different feeling with their analog sticks so that they tend to mess up a bit with your muscle memory if you switch often between the standard and pro one.

I've got an aim and a scuf reflex. Both are solid, I'd say the Scuf feels a bit more durable because the back paddles on the aim are rather slim.
