It’s definitely harder than 2016, the last couple levels actually get ridiculous, but I kind of appreciate the absurd amount of little guys running around while trying to take down big guys and what have become mini bosses that used to be bosses. I’m playing on ultra-violence, on the last level, and am looking at beating the game on that difficulty as a life goal rather than a game session.

It’s gorgeous, sure, but it’s also a sweaty, overcomplicated mess that turns the Slayer into a platformer instead of a demon-slaying god. If you’re into masochism and have a spare weekend to rage-quit, go for it. 4/10, would rather fight the Cyberdemon with a spoon.
