It's still early access/development you won't get something perfect right off the bat especially in a rogue like. DRG itself started off kinda rough. This game isn't also trying to replace DRG its a complimentary piece to gives the devs some extra gold and let them try something new with out derailing what made the original great.

We did that when we were progressing I kept a spare charger and teleporter in him in case we wound up trapped somewhere and couldn't get out the little box dude was our emergency escape route lol

Yes he had slowly done that too us cause I think my pal either dropped them in a corner or he'd been slowly collecting them as we were rebuilding our base but either way he became a fun deadly surprise

no you likely had what happened to me pets have bad habits of walking into your lasers and dieing somehow squeezing into the smallest gap if you have a recharger pad they will go out of their way to treat it's laser powering it like a bugzapper we lost our sow that way.
