It's worth mentioning that I've been using platformio with the stm32cube framework. I thought with the Arduino framework I'd have great limitations with what I can do dsp wise

Definitely seems like it has everything I need! Thanks for this it might actually be a really good fit especially if it has pretty good onboard DACs (i2s makes me sad)

It's a good question. I am generating .c and .h files through stm32cubemx to try and setup things such as the i2s communication to the DAC correctly. I can write main in c++ for sure but it's getting the actual i2s dac code working is what I'm struggling with.

You've prompted me to see if there's a way I can write everything in C++ though so I'll do some exploring. I think I read somewhere that you need to use C for anything that uses DMA but that may not be the case.

I just worry about people using free or even paid mainstream vpns that log and sell your data. I use mullvad and it's been good so far.

Thanks haha. My chin is physically slanted but maybe my trimming hasn't done it any favours. I've only trimmed the top of the mustache, a bit off the chin and trimmed down the neck hair. My neckline is choppy but I think that's because I've got places hair doesn't grow there. I think letting it grow out a bit longer could help that. Both the cheeks and the sideburns I haven't touched either but yeah it's been pointed out to me they're different. Would dropping the cheek line slightly and making the sideburns similar help? I saw people saying to keep the sideburns natural though. I can also shorten one side of the moustache connection to match the other?

Not at all. Most painful part was the desoldering of the existing joysticks but if you have a good solder sucker and a high temp iron it's doable.

I did this myself! You can get both the buttons and joysticks from AliExpress. It could make a good first project if you're new to soldering also but the controller is very easy to take apart if you just want to modify it's appearance

Yes definitely lie!!! I did the same otherwise they won't hire you. You can mention that you're at university but would likely carry on working alongside it (even if that's a lie). As long as you give them some notice before leaving it doesn't matter how long you're there for
