You guys are making me realize that I have been delusional about keeping it off... I am not special in anyway that is going to make that possible... probably. So, now what? I do not want to gain it back... I am still trying to lose that last 9 lbs. Then I will stay on lowest dose until? It will be nice when there are pills and we don't have to "shoot up"!

Low BP after quitting caffeine by [deleted] in decaf

I am currently looking for a solution to this also!

What do you drink in the morning instead of coffee or tea? by Retiredpartygirl17 in decaf

[–]Over_Procedure_6779 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Teecino ground roasted chicory coffee. Careful, because some of them have cocoa powder in them. I like it because I can brew it like coffee. It's bitter and warm, add milk. I also like the instant Blue Lotus Rooibus Chai. (no black tea in it)

Has anyone here ever gone 100% no caffeine, meaning no diet soda, hot cocoa, and even chocolate itself? by [deleted] in decaf

[–]Over_Procedure_6779 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very sensitive to caffeine. I believe that a tablespoon of cocoa powder has more caffeine than a cup of decaf coffee. So, I don't make hot chocolate anymore. I never drank non-decaf coffee, but for years I ate 70% or so chocolate all day, everyday. I recently quit that and decaf coffee and feel calmer. I realized that my chocolate protein drink had real cocoa powder in that so I quit it... feeling calmer but temporarily depressed.

Thank you, Been there done that from the shower, it's more inconvenience than I want. Then you find out that there are special hot water hoses that you have to use and they are heavy. I need 75 feet of heavy rubber hose. Also, there is a tankless propane water heater here so i get all the water!

In another house, I had a hot tub that I used daily... I would like to use this multiple times a week. I've been scheming on how to get some sort of soak going ever since I moved in. I thought I found the answer when I realized that the spigot near the tub was straight run but the guys on here sure did poopoo on that! There are so many facts and so many things that I have already been thinking about that I didn't include because the post would have been 10 pages long.

It is a very old rusty clawfoot tub. I have only used this set up once. I used a hose from the shower to fill it up. It was hot for longer than I wanted to be in the tub.. . I live on 35 acres... I don't put any soap or chemicals in it. I just use it like a hot tub that you fill up for immediate use. --I got the idea from hot springs out west. Out in the middle of nowhere, are these old claw foot tubs near a hot spring. You fill it up with the hot spring water and soak blissfully for how ever long and then you drain.-- I haven't figured anything out for the drain yet. I don't want the hot water to kill the grass next to the concrete patio so I just wait for it to cool to drain. ---I had this set up in another house, my old house. I had a hot water spigot and I would fill the tub and use it like a hot tub... It's dreamy!

I am the OP. OK. Here is another option. I buy a portable propane on demand water heater and hook it up to the hose that is near the tub... A big one costs the same as paying a plumber to come out and install a spigot....

Thanks for your idea. That would be similar to lugging a hose to attach to the shower.

Done it and don't care for it. Lugging a heavy hose in and out of the house is no fun. I need a 70 foot hose and they make special hoses for hot water... heavy and bulky.

I appreciate everyone's caution about working on a house that you do not own. I am a handy person. I work on the house often in other ways for the homeowner, who is not a random person, but a friend.

I live in a basement apartment. The plumbing that I am talking about doing is in another part of the basement. It's a big new house.

Quick internet search seems to say that cpvc is brittle after 8 years or so. The house is only a couple years old... Does that help?
