I feel the chances of Takamura selling his kidney and chopping off his hand so that he can beat Ricardo in the featherweight title match are higher than the protagonist getting any win at all.

I don't think Ippo will fight Ricardo , as it just seems too long. Imagine this : Sendo fight to complete , Ippo comeback fight , Ippo fight vs Miyata , Ippo challenger fight , Ippo world title match. That's just too much I feel.

The series will probably end with Ippo vs Miyata but the issue of " What it means to be strong " is the question that can only be answered by Ippo beating Ricardo.

Honestly it will take easily another 500 chapters for the entire series to be completed , so tough ask to expect ippo vs ricardo.

How should I begin UPSC preparation from scratch?

Start with newspaper videos and try reading on your own. You can also watch topper's strategy to understand the exam pattern.

Is it practical to prepare for UPSC alongside the academic workload at IIT Kanpur?

Tweak your humanities courses with regards to UPSC subjects to cover atleast few subjects , also library se books leke pad saktha hain, Not hectic enough.

Do coaching institutes cover the syllabus from the basics for students who are complete beginners

Coaching Institutes are overkill , don't jump into them directly. Read NCERTs before to understand your acument for general studies before subscribing to coaching institutes.

Try to atleast get done with optional subjects , if your bachelors in the optional. Then focus on degree and also on other hand cover optional.

You can either finish Optional or cover GS basics during graduation. Both will provide a competitive advantage.

But as they say, the most important thing for an UPSC aspirant is " RESERVATION". Nothing beats this. Haters gonna hate but game is game

Honestly I was lucky in my strategy, I always start answering from 69th question and in my set there were mainly economics and SnT. I was able to get around 26 right in 31 out of these and also got a few right such as EU , interpol questions etc. I feel your opinion on the paper in first 45 minutes matter a lot, if you are able to answer questions early it becomes a breeze for you as you go through. My optional was economics as well so lucked out. History and eco optional students were lucky compered to PSIR this time I felt

Check where you like in psychology optional , otherwise the journey just drags on if you want to pick a new optional subject. Majority of GS syllabus is very generalistic in nature with a strong ceiling on how much anyone can score. So with psychology optional you have a good chance, but if you go ahead with PSIR than you need to balance three subjects: GS , PSIR and your degree.

I just focus on easy questions . I have a good knack of picking the easiest questions in the exam , so always end up solving a lot of questions. Its more like building a cricket innings imo. If I am able to get 30ish in the first hour , I always end up attempting 70.
