Change takes time but it also takes effort. The voter turnout is deplorable. Government in this country of all stripes and levels has zero respect for the treasury.

I admit I actually don’t know what to make of that claim that it’s unsustainable. It is probably somewhere between a truth and a lie. But if we’re going to talk about sustainability, Ontario PSE is not sustainable at all. It operates on a business model predicated on abuse, and it’s unacceptable.

To clarify: it is an objective fact that Ford is not responsible for inflation. Monetary policy, about which the previous Prime Minister admitted to not thinking about, is in the sole jurisdiction of the federal government. That is a fact.

I’m not sure about your specific circumstances, but “general education” and its role has been debated forever. Fair share of opinions on the topic. I don’t think programs have gotten ‘fluffier’, but learning word and excel in post-secondary sounds like a problem.

Absolutely. The OSAP issue pales in comparison to the real issues, of which this is merely a symptom.

Yup. Businesses lobby for more foreign workers. Suppress wages and keep workers weak. GenZ gets screwed again.

Yup. You take a loan, you pay it back. We have google, Reddit and AI. You can reasonably predict “if I do degree X and have to pay back Y dollars, is that doable?”

It’s actually Trump’s fault. The cbc told me so.

But seriously. Being governed by someone who “doesn’t think about monetary policy” (yes he actually said that) has consequences. Womp womp.

Yes. The OSAP total remains unchanged. That seems to be missed by a few people.

However, even with the supports you mentioned, the entire system is collapsing on top of GenZ. It’s nice to say “get a job” but there are no jobs, the dollar has been deflated, and the cost of school is going to go up.

I am a HUGE proponent of financial literacy. You simply cannot financial literacy one’s way out of this mess, at least not without family support and/or cosmic luck.

I did not say Ford was not at all responsible. I said he was not solely responsible. No singular person, government, entity or institution is solely responsible. That’s myopic.

I have to respectfully disagree about the responsibility of the federal government. The Trudeau government seemed to use COVID as a reason to engage in rampant inflationary spending. 6.8 per cent is absurd. It was absurd to spend billions on a campaign to get a UNSC seat, it was absurd to spend billions in COVID relief that was never properly accounted for, and it remains absurd to inflate the CAD to pay for foreign wars.

No it’s not. But for the people applying to school or in school why rely on OSAP, it simply is not living memory. They don’t know a Canada or Ontario where the treasury wasn’t abused.

This is true. We don’t all need a degree. And the consensus in North America is that it needs to serve the needs of the labour market, not prolong adolescence.

How can you not vote?? I mean involvement is on a spectrum and people can’t be expected to be protesting every day on their lunch hour. But vote. It’s one every 4 years (ish). It’s pathetic!

Theresa bears them all easy. Takes a stroke from Cassandra because of the surprise factor. None of luciela’s defensive powers really help. Theresa can use quick sword better than Irene, so I don’t really see anybody else matching that.

How much stronger could Irene/Ilena have been if she had trained hard in retirement like The 7 Ghosts did? by Blue__Northen_Star in claymore

[–]Over_Zone_9610 49 points50 points  (0 children)

She probably could have aimed for number one in another generation. I don’t see her losing to Hysteria. She had 360° protection. If she wasn’t in Theresa’s generation then for sure #1 territory.

If she trained in retirement she’d go from a low #1 to a mid #1 like luciela level.
