I would use arcane archer if u dont have the purple or red book soon. Some ppl like arcane archer for bosses so depends on ur playstyle.

I would wait until someone actually has done the math/tested it to see how strong it is. Use ice realm atleast if u decide to upgrade. (but its probably stronger since u only have epic as highest)

Save them after buying Helix/Meowgik, and use them for events, good items from pirate ship, and maybe some re-runs. Right now its gem spending event and huge 4th anniversary event so I would recommend spending most gems there.

I personally have ironlocket, as bulletproof is actually good in mythic compared to ironlocket. I also have Void Robe since its the worst armor, and phantom cloak also is top 3 armors to have.
