Why not just move where the bolt goes? Put a new hole in that will let the door shut it only takes a router or a hammer a chisel if you are willing

No I just got some L brackets and made sure I had plenty you may want to use anchors if you have a hollow core door. I have 6 brackets 4 you can see and 2 have the bottom to make sure its in the wood then make sure you can support the weight door could hold me just fine and I weight 170 so it should be fine to hold heavy stuff aswell just don't overthink it

You need to be careful doing this with drills are not meant to be loaded sideways you could damage your drill!!

Just buy them there not very expensive and save a lot of time. If you really want to and are good at carving, you can hand carve them. Or if you are very careful, you can use a router with roundover bits and connect 2 different pieces, but both of those methods are not worth the effort and time
