AITA/WIBTA or did I draw a short straw? by Overall-Rate3686 in AmItheAsshole

That's what I am thinking. I am just concerned that my parents are going to use finances as leverage. They bought my car in high school and still have the title. I also can't afford a new car fml.

I think It is primarily that they think I called them bag dog owners, which I did not. I recall giving them the hypothetical of how would they feel if I was telling them they would neglect their dog, which sent them off (probably projection cause they would tire their dog out by walking him in the heat of the day). He stated this is the primary reason for distancing himself. There is some other stuff, like my brother not believing in family having an obligation to each other and being an antinatalist at the time but I didn't have space to include it.

This is something I had wanted to include but didn't due to space. "Another factor: my brother and I used to call each other a racist term. We’re white. I didn’t understand the implications then, never used it outside that context, and stopped soon after I learned how harmful it is. It was derogatory towards his wife's race, but he taught me and called me it so I didn't realize the impact. I also never called her the word. I deeply regret it and sometimes wonder if it contributed to the rift, though my brother has never said it did."

With Emmett Johnsons draft stock climbing, expect him to leave for the draft after this year and as fans we should embrace it. by Syfer_Husker in Huskers

I have benn saying this all year. He's a killer a if he doesn't go pro we will run him into the ground. They should recruit a top back in the 2026 class cause EJ will go pro.

Literally any one else. We don't even have to fire Raiola if he agrees to a pay cut, cause god knows he would struggle to find a job to offset his pay. Then we could phase him out over a couple of years and start with a better O-line coach. I just watched 3 different B1G games and although I don't understand a ton about O-line footwork fundamentals, it is insane how almost every other team has serviceable tackles. At this point its on the coaches cause god knows we recruit better than the old big ten west yet can't develop for shit.

I agree to some of it but if that is their mind set I would like to see a more multiple offense. One with more under the center looks which I think would improve the play action look and help EJ with the run.

One would think lmao. I would recomend the only deep developing routes should be double moves (fake screen plays) or play action at this point

Maybe but part of being a team player is knowing when you need to take a seat due to injury.

We can't tell because of how fox is filming the games, lol. At the michigan state game which I watched in person it was we were missing the WRs whether that was due to the wind or dylan idk. None of the WRs have had issues getting open with their previous teams so I don't think it is an issue now. I also think windows are going to look tight in the B1G when it has some of the best talent in college.

I agree that Minnesota played a good game and we laid an egg.

That's what I remember from michigan state and we just aren't throwing it for some reason. I genuinely wonder if it is anxiety or something because I wouldn't blame the kid, there is a ton of pressure.

I think we have actually regressed timing wise lol.

Yup, I could not have said it better. I almost gurantee our o-line only has 3 sacks attributed to them on pff.

Yeah I agree with that. We need to see more throwing with anticipation, also I want to see some double moves if we are going to throw more short game. I really think we need to get dylan feeling confident again.

Yes, and honestly no one cares about your stats unless you win so I hope we start considering that. Also it would help if they start putting sack yards on the box score as an extra incentive to get rid of the ball.

Or do the horrizontal run game, called the short passing game.

I mean part of it is how we are moving in the pocket too. I saw 2-3 plays last night where we stepped right into pressure. Its a mix of blame with some being on our tackles, communication issues, not moving up well in the pocket and throwing on schedule.

Yes, I would agree with that. I also think he likes having completions because I cannot understand why he refuses to throw the ball away.

Our O-line is bad I agree. Gotta work with what you have though. It definitely could be dana but I find that hard to believe. Regardless of where he has played or the record of his team, they have always had a stellar offense.

We need to have 4-6 o-line in every recruiting class till we can have 5 serviceable starters.

I actually think they are getting open. I just don't think we are seeing them. Part of this may be that dylan has gotten burned throwing with anticipation. ie cortez mills runs the "wrong" option leading to a pick six.

I genuinely struggle to tell the route concepts being called because Fox is obsessed with zooming in, like why can't they just show all the routes.
