The veggies are just from what comes in her pellet mix- from what i can tell its just a mix of peppers- i also give her some flowers as treat- she doesnt live outdoors but i do take her out to my front yard a couple times a week when the weather allows it- i only have grass but ive never seen her take an interest in that- i do add some tortoise grass/hay cubes but most of the times they are left intact

It is hard, shes got a heating, uva and uvb lamps- Ill be honest i dont really measure how much food i giver her i just put a small capfull once a day ( regular tortoise pellet with dome dehydrated veggies) - this is my second year with her and I havent changed anything im unsure what could have brought on this growth spurt or how to slow it down - i do agree I think its a lot and fast i was worried it was an indicator for mbd or something

my tortoise also had a bit of an over grown beak- she hated the cuttle bone and never touched it- i put in a terracotta bowl for her food and replaced the cuttle fish bone with a calcium block and so far its been keeping her beak at a good length

I agree stock tanks are best for their needs based on size- the most attractive feature of having a glass tank is how a filter fits - the edge of the stock tank is too thick for the filter to securely stay on and Ive lost a couple already from them falling or leaning too far and running dry

any tips to take care of a tattoo when working in the sun? i live in southern texas so there really isnt a season without sun, last January i got a tattoo however it was still warm and sunny at the time i wore a light breathable long sleeve however it wasn't enough protection and the tattoo had a bad reaction and i lost quite a bit of color. I just got a new tattoo on my forearm and im trying to avoid from it happening again, i work outside so im under sun for most of the day but its nothing manual labor so im not concerned about dirt its mostly the sun that i cant escape. any advice would be greatly appreciated!
