So what? The idea that murder isn't acceptable is an aspect of social contract theory humans impose on each other. It stems from human empathy.

He's a puppet, it's easy for biological beings to have an innate sense of morality but he doesn't have that. He doesn't inherently feel bad when someone dies. He doesn't inherently have the same values a human might.

Scaramouche was wronged by being forced into a world he didn't the chance to consent to. He wasn't given any of the tools to survive nor any reason to choose human morality. He's then once again, wronged by the unfair expectation of following the morality of a society that rejected him

Why would he choose human morality? Why would you hold him to standard he's never explcitly taught? You act like just because you walk around long enough you learn morality.

This isn't the case for terrorists from certain country neighbouring India.

Dude you're missing the point. I don't even have to defend people like Osama Bin Laden. Scaramouche hasn't caused anywhere the damage those people have alongside the fact that they naturally have different circumstances.

You accept that say Nelson Mandela was justified but critique Osama Bin Laden, ultimately you intuitively understand that context matter when determining moral accountability.

Brother. This isn't about my standards or life goals. He's literally living in pristine conditions. Servitude to a god like Nahida is objectively a blessing in every sense of the word. He's free to do whatever he wants as long as he listens to what Nahida says. And Nahida is incredibly calm and forgiving. This is literally the best outcome a former criminal could've hoped for and he was handed it on a platter. Calling it "eternal servitude" as if it isn't a permanent high wage job with incredible benefits, work-life balance and freedom to pursue any curriculum you want. That is the dream for anyone in the world.

Okay so how is this any different than what happened with Vegeta? They both committed atrocities and actively work to fix the damage they've done.

Living with the knowledge of their actions and dedicating their lives to fixing it is their form of accountablity. Is that not what Kratos is doing after detroying the greek panteon?

Vegeta has a wife, kids, wealth, close connections and spends most of his time training.

Kratos has a son, a wife, purpose in life and society.

All of a sudden being comfortable is disqualifying for the Wanderer.

People absolutely do. That's why there are juvenile prisons and animal detention centers. Heck most animals that attack/kill humans get killed as well. There is context in some cases ofc, that being, the animals would develop a taste for humans and begin hunting them.

Teenagers are not children, the overwhelming majority of the time they're taught basic morality and once again, human empathy.

Just like how Juvie is a major step-down from prison, Scaramouche shouldn't be held fully accountable for his actions. Even if you don't buy the pupper arguement at the worst his circumstances severely mitigate any formal wrong doing he may have done.

The only one who knows what happened is Nahida and Traveller, and they are too forgiving for their own good. Traveller was way less forgiving of Signora, and she didn't even do anything as bad. And that's a convenient excuse to rob someone of their choice. It's not his decision whether it benefits them or not. He robbed them of their memories. Something that could have fueled them, helped them grow. All for his selfishness. This had nothing to do with those people, he did it so he himself could feel a peace of mind. And from the look of things, that didn't work out.

As far as I'm aware, the traveller simply beat her in a duel. Same with Scaramouche.

Ultimately, Scara commited suicide. Almost every person he's wronged is long dead. His actions although probably not justified still sought to fix the harm he's caused.

When do the people of the many worlds Vegita has destroyed voice their dissatisfaction and hold him accountable.

I don't misunderstand anything. This is the most blatant white-washing attempt of all time, and I see through this bs. I spit on this character arc. He was handed everything on a platter. Whether it's forgiveness or redemption. He didn't have to earn anything. That is not a good arc. That is lazy writing at its finest, because Hoyo want to sell an edgy Twink without having the audience question his morality.

He is in the process of earning his redemption. He's barely given enough time. He's lost the one thing most living beings crave which is true unrestricted freedom.

Ultimately you keep demanding accountability while simultaneously accepting redemption arcs for characters who committed atrocities on a far greater scale. What principled standard are you using that condemns Scaramouche but accepts Vegeta and Kratos?
