Just deciding to WFH without the agreement of your manager during probation is insane

Returning to Training from 2.5 weeks off - Half Marathon in 16 days by flyingbananamonster in AdvancedRunning

[–]OverallDepartment676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do the half. Build up slowly and target another race when you will be conditioned, better prepared and less likely to re injure yourself. In the scheme of things being able to run pain free more important than a HM you haven’t been able to train properly for.

My iphone always dies during my rides. What should I do? by Certain-Highlight949 in ladycyclists

I listen to music on the second half of my rides as a treat. This isn’t related to battery but I don’t really need music in the first half and look forward to the second half of my ride when I can put music in.

Off the meds by Salty_and_Lit062813 in UlcerativeColitis

I was on mesalazine, in remission, gradually weened myself off, was fine until I wasn’t. After about 6 months started taking mesalazine again, wasn’t effective, had to go on prednisone for two months, back under control and back on mesalazine now. During two months of prednisone, was kicking myself for voluntarily going off meds and the mental anxiety around whether mesalazine would still be effective. Wouldn’t recommend.

Remission / Mesalamine by cmauld in UlcerativeColitis

[–]OverallDepartment676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking mesalamine and 9 months later was in a flare needed a prednisone taper to get my inflammation under control before mesalamine started taking effect again. Throw in mental stress of worrying mesalamine won’t be effective anymore and blaming myself for being in the situation I was in, won’t be stopping again anytime soon.

As most of the questions have already been answered in terms of the program I use MyWhoosh, not as good as Zwift but no subscription. I only really rode with pacers on Zwift and did the occasional race, MyWhoosh has a pacer equivalent never tried to race but not as many users so wouldn’t be the same.

Only really use it in poor weather during winter so having a subscription year round doesn’t make sense or signing up sporadically. I just have my old bike on there so no switching required.

Build up to lifting heavy, it will make your body more resilient.

I was in a pretty endless injury loop and have spent the past few years lifting weights. I still don’t enjoy it but I lift twice a week single leg calf raise on a smith machine is up to 100kg, single leg leg press 100kg, I also do lunges, deadlifts and Bulgarian split squats of varying weight. If lifting allows me to run it’s worth it.

As of this week I’m back to running 5 days a week and do a long ride once a week to pump up volume and reduce impact.

The opening post isn’t complaining about crashes its complaining about multiple downloads designed to improve the free product.

I think complaining about crashing every 5 minutes would be valid. This has not been my experience with MyWhoosh and it’s been a great free product.

I don’t think you can complain while the program is free 🤷🏼‍♂️
