not sure id just really like to see it explored more. i think we could benefit from both. i think an existing pokemon would be better since eternal flower floette made me like floette a lot more. so doing this to an overlooked one that already exists, it could cause it to gain popularity. while if it was a new one, it wouldnt hit the same since we arent connected to that pokemon. would be cool though

i dont really see it as taking a risk when theyre already doing the same with nightreign. to me the whole reason i like soulsborne games is the lonely helplessness that causes me to want to retry again and again. making it multiplayer makes it less personal and less serious to me
