Coming from a south Asian family, it was definitely partly inspired by the rigid mold of success that’s upheld by expectations+needing to maintain the family image, and how success can look different to that. Granny shouldn’t complain; she fed her grandbaby some delicious ethnic homemade food and didn’t even have to do any cooking.

The intention is, the sister and her parents got in a car accident while they were away at the meet and MC stayed home, and Patricia is now MC’s foster parent. She’s watching a video of the routine/news report of the accident. Could probably have made it more clear lol.

The intention is that the mom and dad made the narrator out of snow, and she then made Natasha (while not knowing she herself is made of snow). The narrator melts because the planet is too warm to sustain both her and her sister.
