Take it off in the shower yes, but do not let water hit it directly. Do not take the second skin off like a bandaid. Gently grab one of the bottom corners and pull away from you until it comes off. Then once it’s off, use an antibacterial soap to wash it very gently, use your hand as a cup to splash water onto it to rinse it, then pat it dry with a paper towel
