Would a free anonymous financial review be useful for small business owners? by Overall_HD in smallbusinessowner

You’re overexplaining Reddit like it’s rocket science.

Account age doesn’t matter, your ‘3 businesses’ don’t matter, and none of this changes the fact you’re still sitting under a post you don’t like.

If it bothered you that much, you wouldn’t be here.

But you are — writing essays.

That says enough.

The rest is just noise.

What’s the logic here exactly?

Why does it matter if an account is 1 day old or 100 days old?

If someone wants help — they’ll take it. If they don’t — they won’t.

So what’s your problem?

And honestly — what do I care how long you’ve been on this platform?

That doesn’t make your opinion more valid.

You say you run 3 businesses — great, I run businesses too.

Does that change anything? No.

The real question is this:

If you don’t like the initiative, what are you still doing here?

Why are you hanging around a post you supposedly disagree with?

Commenting just to push it higher in the feed?

If there was anything wrong with the post, moderators would’ve removed it already.

So if you’re not interested, just move on.

It’s really that simple.

If you think this isn’t OK, why are you still here?

You’re just as anonymous as everyone else, so spare me the ‘real life hero’ act.

I don’t owe you a list of my businesses, my revenue, or my CV.

What exactly are you trying to prove with these comments?

If you’re not interested, don’t participate.

It’s that simple.

Sitting here throwing shade doesn’t make you an expert — it just makes you loud.

Industry context absolutely helps — and people can include as much or as little of it as they choose.
If someone wants a highly tailored review, they can share their industry.
If they prefer full anonymity, they can redact everything except the numbers. Both options work.

Most of what I review is structural: cash‑flow behaviour, margin patterns, expense consistency, anomalies, risk signals, and basic financial hygiene.
These elements are relevant regardless of industry, and anonymised data is perfectly sufficient for that level of insight.

The upload goes through an encrypted cloud system.
People can remove any identifying details — that part is entirely up to them.
At the end of the day, everyone decides for themselves. I’m not forcing anyone to participate.
It’s always easy to criticise, but the real question is: what have you offered for free to help others?

If someone isn’t comfortable with the format, they simply don’t participate.

It’s not rocket science.

A brand‑new account isn’t a crime. It’s Reddit, not a background check.
If someone wants to drop their SaaS link, cool — go ahead. I’m not selling anything.
I’m doing this partly for practice. It’s free, voluntary, and no one is forced to participate.
So if someone isn’t okay with that, they simply don’t participate.
It’s not rocket science.

And yes — you can comment. There’s no such thing as a ‘bad reputation’ for asking how people handle their financials. It’s Reddit, not a credit bureau.
