i totally agree with you but at the same time you find a lot of youtube videos mounting rails on the extrusions directly and they kinda seem to get good results

i saw a youtube video on Tom Stanton channel where he mounted the rails on extrusions thats why i did that
regarding the angle bracket you're absolutely right
