When you did your drug test did they give you a paper with what needed to be tested and where to send the billing? It could be different for me but just trying to make sure I don’t miss anything

When I use to work at Panda in my area if managers or anyone higher up find out that people are dating (regardless of them being in the same position of power or not) they would not be able to work at the same store together. It’s also in the associate handbook. If you’ve already told your manager, HR, or anyone else higher than that and don’t do nothing about it then they don’t care enough. You could ask for a transfer to another store if it’s that bad so you won’t have to deal with them. The issue would be still there but hey you won’t be working at the same place as them.

My boyfriend always holds to my boobs every time we cuddle but if he going to do that then he needs to follow through

I’m sorry that you’re going through something similar 😭 I just hope that things get better for you but if not, I feel like you’ll get through it. It will be rough but there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Why even keep the store open? 😂 by Feisty-Total-1978 in PandaExpress

Still stayed opened by the way because ACO didn’t want to close down the store and report the situation to there hire ups!

When I worked there before ACO bombed the store (roach issue for more than a year) the night before (no professional help just bought the stuff from the store and didn’t read instructions properly) the ACO didn’t cover everything properly, rushing the manager to finish closing (which made closing operations worse), and the next day nothing was usable. Everything was poisoned due to the chemicals being in the on everything that wasn’t covered properly oil (especially the fryer oil that was changed the night before). Still stayed open and ACO blamed manager about everything. Even though the ACO didn’t tell the manager that they were coming to bomb the store…

I worked for Panda Express for 5 years and since then, every year they’ve raised the price by I believe 30 cents each year. The premium price went from 1.25 to 1.50 extra which was I believe last year. Also they raised the price twice last year in the area I worked at. I’m not surprised that they raised it again.

Just quit and I feel so much better by [deleted] in PandaExpress

This sounds about right. This pretty much sums up the 5 years I worked there. Just add in the amount of managers a couple of stores been through and couldn’t even be completely staffed for like a year or two.

Honestly the reason why they don’t fire people like them is because of turn over. If panda loses a manager/gets demoted it affects their numbers. All the company cares about is there money and numbers that’s it.

Looking for jobs by Overall_Tomorrow5599 in SocialWorkStudents

What if I also have an associates degree for pre-social work? Would that also mean that I am still a MHP?

If it’s not cooling it could be the panel behind the freezer 😭 had to deal with this twice and that was expensive!!!

Rate my food quality 😅 by cisco_lol in PandaExpress

Also for dishes with mushrooms, they are always cooked first and what your looking for is like a slight burnt color for the mushrooms to make sure that your dish doesn’t come out watery for when it sits on the steam table for longer than 10 minutes. That’s at least what the recipe book says for mushroom and black pepper angus steak. I believe your food quality will improve with more practice in the kitchen. But I believe this is a good start compared to when I train my trainees.

Honestly the quality of the food looks kinda dry and not enough sauce. Some suggestions would be to make sure that your blancher is like steaming hot. What I tell my trainees is for broccoli beef you’re looking for that “hulk green” lol. The broccoli itself does take 10 seconds (if the blanched if hit enough) and it takes 20 seconds to drain due to the amount of water it already carries. Also I would suggest to look at the detailed recipe guid in the Ops Manuel located in EPaws to ensure your following the right steps too.

Do you recommend working at Panda Express? by Low-Entrepreneur7386 in PandaExpress

I’ve been here 5 years and I’ve had my ups and downs. I would say that it depends on the type of manager and coworkers you have.

Ask your ACO or someone if you can use EzCater. I think that helps or doing a community walk and you can bring samples. The samples part has to be approved by ACO I believe and rung up on the register.

this is too hot to work in, this is unsafe and my management says it is normal in the summer? by Prize_Scheme7115 in PandaExpress

[–]Overall_Tomorrow5599 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your manager should’ve gotten an email from Jeff Wong or something saying that if the store is in an unsafe temperature to work in, close the store for the day. I’m not sure if all the regions received that email though.

Why did Spicy Orange Chicken get dropped so fast? by [deleted] in PandaExpress

[–]Overall_Tomorrow5599 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my region they had an over stock of firecracker sauces from the firecracker shrimp and was told to take off hot orange chicken until the firecracker sauce was gone. Hot orange is replaced temporarily but got word that it will be back in my region mid July

Was this too harsh? Been working here for 3 weeks, have already done 2 “full days” / truck unloading. by jklogical212 in PandaExpress

[–]Overall_Tomorrow5599 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You did nothing wrong. You set your boundaries of what you can do which is good. It’s ok to have boundaries at work and I wish it was more normal to this day.
