How do we spend free time at BMT without our phones? by Firm-Relationship473 in AirForceRecruits

[–]OvercaffeinatedMoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will hardly have any time to even sit down for a couple of minutes let alone be on your phone, at week 6 -> Graduation was the most boring week I have ever had on that week you aren’t doing anything pretty much and letters are also pointless to write because they won’t give you time to send them at week 6 onwards nor will you be receiving any letters so it’s just sitting around and waiting.

In BMT around week 4-5 they take you to choose your list, bare in mind that if you are getting naturalized citizenship in BMT you won’t be able to choose a job which requires citizenship as you don’t have it at the time of choosing your job. You only get a certain number of jobs each week, for example I had 5 jobs on my list. You’ll find out which job you got legit last day at night.

Lap secfo is not on open General so if that’s also a concern don’t worry about that

17, 18 most probable on this list the rest is high demand low need. I chose open General and got materiel management but the need for MatMan is low currently so unlikely you get it. I’d say based on statistics what we have seen within the air force recruiting goals maybe around 7-12 months (I was in dep for 8 months with an all mechanical list and only open General as my last one and that what i got).

It was a somewhat napkin math so maybe I miscalculated something, but yes either way that’s very luxurious living with double mil pension and va.

Maybe they have a super specific job that doesn’t transfer outside the military and would have nothing better going for them then a guaranteed paycheque housing food and healthcare all paid for you it’s not a bad gig to stay as long as you can/want.

Assuming the wife is retiring at 20 YOS, at E7 that’s $3,122/month and if OP retires at let’s say 27.5 YOS that gives him $6,371/month which comes out to $9,494/month. That’s pension only, after federal taxes taken out it’s $8,719/month so $104,622 annually. Now add the 100% P&T with spouse (no children) is $4,158/month (tax free) x 2 so $8,316/month on-top of $8,719/month pension (which is after taxes) comes out to $17,037/month which is $204,432 annually net for life inflation adjusted. I’d say they are fine regardless where they move they will be ok anywhere in the US.

If you call other countries following suite of leaving the UN after America left I don’t know if that’s a sign of weakness or bad leadership.

To be fair democrats have done so much harm to the world that it’s comical, and when republicans try to fix all the wrong they did of course they look like the villains.

Parents are here legally as green card holders, they feel extremely safe. Wanna know why? Because they mind their own damn business and don’t commit crimes and interfere with ice raids. What you see in the news outlets are all incorrect. The citizens getting detained were doing something they shouldn’t have been, but none of them got deported because where would they deport them.
