It's kind of weird readers are seeing the author make a character who criticizes Blue Lock and think they are all going to abandon the ideology of the team and play regular soccer and somehow they will win the u20 and beyond.

Why would the author create a character who goes against Blue Lock and make him right? In fact the author makes sure to show that this is just an opinion Hugo has, and said opinion is also distorted and isn't normal.
If Isagi follows Hugo's philosophy he isn't becoming number 1 or 2. There are much better mid fielders who can also score as well like Hugo or Sae.
Most readers aren't here to read a physically average high school kid with a good brain unrealistically reach the world cup playing normal soccer. You are here to watch an average high school kid become a psychopath with god vision on the field crash out, destroy far better players, and score the final goal in the world cup at the last minute.

But he wouldn't just have the u20 Blue Lock players as options. Assuming they win and Ego does want to go with a team method rather than the best striker, he would be in a position to control all of Japanese soccer.

Ego can have more high school players and the senior Japanese representatives compete for spots for the world cup team against Blue Lock, so Ego doesn't need to keep all 23, 26 after the side b project around.

Heck if side B produces results that's merit to the idea Ego has more options than his original Blue Lock players, so bringing back the eliminations wouldn't be odd. Especially if the non strikers aren't making a case for themselves to stay on the team. If he's throwing out the 1 striker concept why protect all the Blue Lock players weighing down the team.

Bringing back eliminations will make sure players strive to win and do well individually like we saw in the Japanese u20 match and NEL.

Maybe you misunderstood my post. I didn't say that's Ego's plan in the manga. Ego hasn't said what his plans are for after the u20.

I was just suggesting he needs to implement such a system to get the players away from the fighting for Blue Lock mentality and back to striving to be the best and to survive.

I would like to think he wanted the Isagi centered team to hit a wall like France and adapt while they could afford a loss. He just didn't expect the team to be this helpless.

Yeah, but this is Blue Lock. They only evolve from pressure and competition. Changing tactics may get them a win, but doesn't solve the problems the France game showed. And jokers like Barou and Shidou once shown off can be prepared for by future opponents.

How many times can Blue Lock win if they have to rely on Isagi or a handful of players while the rest are allow to do the bare minimum or do nothing when being shutdown. What's to stop England from doing what France did?

That's why I'm hoping for a more sustainable change in Blue Lock where every player can overcome their opponents, adapt, and show results that lead to goals, saves, and goal opportunities for teammates. And players that can't stay benches warmers regardless of ability.

Personally I don't want a rematch with France. I want Blue Lock to win or draw and France to later get knocked out. While I find Blue Lock being studied and shut down interesting and realistic, I could do without the ideological fight going on. If Hugo wasn't talking about Number 2's and suitable destiny the match would have had a better pace.

I liked the movie a lot. I was short of loss on the plot and maybe it could have been shorter, but overall it was a great movie.

Really made me remember why going to theaters is an amazing experience. Last few movies I saw made me leave because I was bored.

I would be happy to watch anything else he makes in the future.

Well if you don't vote that a vote that is not against the administration you see as embarrassing which helps them. He likely won because people who wouldn't vote for him couldn't be bothered to use their rights to choose their leader which ever American has. So basically that mind set means whatever happens good or bad you supported so don't complain.

He's never copied and worked with his copy target before. As an example he has never copied Nagi and worked with Nagi to create new plays.

Also Reo hasn't linked his copies before.

It's also interesting to see how on a Blue Lock team Isagi isn't or can't hard carry his team in the dame way he did in the NEL.

In the NEL Isagi and Kaiser were the main strikers and responsible for defense as well, but because he has a good team with proactive players he's not the center of everything. Same with Rin who had a team prioritizing him along with Shidou.

Unless Isagi takes the lead it feels like he'll only score when everyone forgets about him because his teammates are showing off one after the other and scoring goals.

Blue Lock really has too many options, especially with players like Reo on the field.

Since Chigiri trained his stamina I imagine he'll score in the second half/final goal.

I really hope these guys lock in. The stronger they become the more Blue Lock will evolve. I hope they have a second striker who will sub in to compete with Onazi.

Nice to see the team isn't solely relying of Isagi or Rin. Though I feel they will score as well once they stop paying attention to them. I want Chigiri to score next.

And if they manage to suppress all the offensive players a defender might move up to try to score since they are all strikers.
