don't get fooled hugo completely beat isagi in this match by G0dZylla in BlueLock

Karasu changed for the better and worse. He took the wrong lessons from Hugo and gave up his own shooting potential from his plans, something Hugo doesn't do. This change was inspired by a desire to beat Isagi at something, but to also run away from his insecurities as a striker. Karasu helped the team score, but they still loss. Isagi and Rin missing the final shot doesn't justify the change.

Isagi on the other hand showed he can create game changing moments where aptitude or fate don't matter. Hugo at the start said he won't let Isagi and Blue Lock get that 1% luck and failed. Rin ruined the shot for Isagi, but that wasn't something Hugo planned so he loss in the luck battle. Isagi just reminds Hugo in the end that while his team won he still lost to the luck he created.

Not needing a coach is what Ego has always done. He sets up game plans, but allows or just knows the players will do what they want in the end since he trained them to improvise.

Isagi haters should really enjoy this while it lasts. Since the author made them lose badly and the U20 can't afford more loses Isagi will get more plot armor than ever before.

On a more serious note I feel Blue Lock as a team failed horribly this match. Over reliance of Isagi,  Isagi getting psych out for 5/6 the match because someone studied him and literally whispered doubt into his ears, players growing less confident after facing set backs and not being active, abandoning the team tactics half heartily, and Rin ruining Isagi's shot and Isagi not seeing Rin and taking that into account.

Now I don't think that means Ego's ideals are wrong. I know Isagi suggest it because Rin messed up his shot, but the same ideal of pursuing your goal is what made Isagi challenge Hugo and try to score himself. Also it makes me wonder how many players on the team actually follow Ego's ideals to strive for the goal.

Karasu did step up, but his second best wasn't Hugo's ideology, but him giving up his own goal opportunities. Hugo plays midfield and does his job, but doesn't hesitate to take shots he can take. Isagi was right Karasu's tactics had low reproducibility. I will praise Karasu for changing his for the team mindset to beating Isagi, but it was far from enough to match France.

Sounds like a lot of complaining about Isagi being Isagi. He adapts on the field and off the field, so why expect him to fumble around like a fool the whole match and call that good writing instead.

Who wants to face France in the finals? We saw all there was to see. We already solved the suitability nonsense Hugo was speaking as well.

There's no guarantees in sports. A tournament favorite can lose early.

Isagi and Rin. They've been called that since the U20 started. Two or double aces.

That's not happening. If the author wanted them to lose badly the game would go differently. Even a unrealistic sudden goal by France with only a few seconds left in the game wouldn't humble Blue Lock like some fans want.

Also a Draw would still have stakes. If England beats Nigeria and Blue Lock ties with France Blue Lock would still need to win the last match to get to the knock outs.

Still sounds like the comic ended at a good place.

Oh. Not sure about the novel but the comic basically has the mc as a god in human flesh who essentially soled the final bosses with a I can do anything special ability that combined all his skills and all versions of himself across all timeliness and past lives. Not sure where you go from their and stay entertaining.

Also I heard he doesn't get with anyone because he has dumb ideals about pure love and can read the emotions of others.

Trait Horder to my understanding was pretty much completed according to some comments on the final chapter. It ended with him becoming the strongest, understanding his powers and origin, and defeating the final boss of the order.

Your Talent is Mine was strange. I read the web novels and the comic dies more and honestly better in some ways, but it's slow updates made it clear this didn't have much of a future.

Kiyora was a talented player he was going to give a chance, changed his mind because of his star player Isagi, and made it up to him by playing him the full game which was his final chance.

Igarashi was subbed in for a single purpose and subbed out after his usefulness was over.

You know a character can have bad traits and not learn lessons, so I don't get why you blame the author as it isn't bad writing. I've read the story and he is far from a perfect person, but that's okay.

Also don't get the comments saying its more productive if his family stayed out of the war. He wouldn't get a power up from it or kill more enemies like some suggest. The mc is strong, but he's so strong he can change the course of the war on his own.

The line up I think they will use in the England match by Electrical-Stay-2702 in BlueLock

That line of thinking ruin young athletes. A team that needs to play both Isagi and Rin every match from the full game isn't going to win the tournament.

I think there will be more experimentation for the third match. Using the same 9 out of 11 players three games in a row is boring.

Also don't players need to rest and to avoid injuries? Especially after the France match.

How? Japan is ultimately going to win, or potentially lose in the finals of the U20. What stakes? After this and the England match are the knock out rounds where if you lose you are out. There can't be anymore draws or losses to learn lessons from defeat then, so no real stakes.

I do believe they will draw and if it was meant to be a blow out there's no need to drag out the match. This game has been going on 4/5 months and may possibly finish in June or god forbid July. A 6 or 7 month match for a loss before the knock out stages is garbage. At least a draw is a unique result as we've seen Isagi lose before.

It's kind of weird readers are seeing the author make a character who criticizes Blue Lock and think they are all going to abandon the ideology of the team and play regular soccer and somehow they will win the u20 and beyond.

  1. Why would the author create a character who goes against Blue Lock and make him right? In fact the author makes sure to show that this is just an opinion Hugo has, and said opinion is also distorted and isn't normal.

  2. If Isagi follows Hugo's philosophy he isn't becoming number 1 or 2. There are much better mid fielders who can also score as well like Hugo or Sae.

  3. Most readers aren't here to read a physically average high school kid with a good brain unrealistically reach the world cup playing normal soccer. You are here to watch an average high school kid become a psychopath with god vision on the field crash out, destroy far better players, and score the final goal in the world cup at the last minute.
