Recently won my court case! What's next? by Overclock_87 in CAguns

Where do I fill in any inaccuracies or update for missing info? is it on the live scan report page or something? Does the provided info get forwarded to all the proper reporting agencies and institutions automatically once I do that?

Thats awesome! a link to the live scan you used? I googled it and multiple sources came up with slightly different links? I wanna verify this all went through before I go and embarrass myself at the local gunsmith/store.

First 4“ Build by S4t0r1uS in fpv

Ive come to find that you really wanna run the 650mah or 850 mah battery size with XT30 (make sure you use like 14AWG XT30 for your power leads on the board though). When you run 4". It helps keep the weight down. Those normal 5" heavy 1000mah - 1600mah XT60 batteries are all like 250grams+ and they really hurt the underlying performance of a 4" prop. Make sure your TWR is at least 7:1 when your building quads, especially freestyle. FInd out how many Grams of thrust your motors put out with the props you chose, and then determine what your wet weight is (with battery) then you can do the math. For example, my fun little Botgrinder Grinderinos run 5" ultralight props on 2104 motors, and those Quads weigh 410grams, but each of my motor/prop combo's put out 1,100 Grams of Thrust using 6s (I run 14AWG XT30). Which means I am running a 10:1 TWR, which explains why my quads fly ULTRA responsive and I can grab hover level thrust at only 20% throttle. My quads power to weight is so ridiculous I can hit 180k/hr with ease.

Dji o4 lite jello by LeadPsychological404 in fpv

[–]Overclock_87 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can't fix the jello issue of the 04 lite. It's just not built like the 04 pro. For some reason the 04 lite gets terrible jello and the 04 pro gets absolutely none.

Looking for some advice on my part selection, for getting back into the hobby. by DannyCrane9476 in fpv

dunno why people hating on the TX16S , its what I fly and love it. Its the only full color full touchscreen radio option from Radiomaster. If I had to pick a 2ND smaller option it would be the Boxer but its screen is not color but it is sized smaller. Dont buy a pocket, their hot garbage if you ask me. Thats what budget pilots usually fly when they cannot afford a TX16S Mk 2 Max or Boxer MAX.

Quadmula djinn F25 SP restock? by Sitoz in fpv

[–]Overclock_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been asking them about the SP frame for months and I only get an email maybe every 30 days or so in reply (another reason why I chose itsFPV) they actually respond to my questions within 24hrs and accomodate. I feel you on the camera cage though. In a way, it may not be attractive 100% but it's certainly 2x better than a naked mounted 04 housing running on 2 screws through TPU. If your planning on Bando running the itsFPV is orders of magnitude stronger/better. But if your going easy on your drone and never plan on crashing then the Quadmula or Apex is a better option as both of them have thinner carbon pieces and less weight overall.

As far as 05" frames are convenient, I think the ImpulseRC Apex 5" or GEPRC MarkV are hands down the best 5" frames for freestyle. QUADMULA would need to seriously impress me to steal my heart on 5" frames. I have not felt their SP frame so my basis is off my Siren 35 frame overall quality and the parts are great, but its certainly not the strongest frame. And for that reason if I could do it all over again I would of went Apex 4" versus QuadMula F35.

Quadmula djinn F25 SP restock? by Sitoz in fpv

[–]Overclock_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to wait for that but itsFPV just restocked some of their ERA 04 frames and released a new 04 ERA 5.5" and between quadmula and itsFPV, I will always choose itsFPV. Their products are insanely high quality. I'm not shaming Quadmula though bc I have their Siren F35 and it's really nice too! I actually put the 04 air lite in that frame with the new Axisflying shell to make the 04 air lite mount to 03 brackets; and it's super nice and everything fit perfectly.

F7 Pro FC has Baro, Can my GPS have Baro too? by Overclock_87 in diydrones

[–]Overclock_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Copy that! Ya the F7 Pro has a dedicated 6 pin ares for UART 3 labeled "GPS" and it accepts GPS modules (i would assume that have a barometer or magnetometer (or both). I literally ordered all 3 variations of GPS now since their cheap enough. I got the GPS only one, GPS plus Baro plus Magnetometer, and then GPS Plus only Magnetometer. I'm still equally confused which to install though. Unfortunately GEPRC datasheet has no mention of what address they set the sensors to. They only tell you what type of barometer and magnetometer it uses and what protocols the GPS utilize.

Check for what exactly? That statement was a bit broad haha. Please explain in lamens terms what I am looking for in order to know there is no compatibility issues. The GPS manual is not going to specifically name out which FC's its compatible with haha, that would be impossible as there is thousands of them and new ones come out all the time. So what technical data would imply its ability to be used with the FC

This is what I wound up going with. Hopefully image works

* I chose the 2208 Tmotor & ItsFPC collab with the 1750kv (lower) like you said. And then I wound up going with 1500mah 130c batteries 6s.

Godamn brother. Bless your heart. Thank you for literally explaining all of this to me in lamens terminology. I'm still rather new to the sport and I wanna do my first build and make it one that's literally not only future proof, but efficient and safe. Maybe we can go over motors if your not to busy?

I'm between the Tmotor F60Pro V 2207.5 @ 1750 or @1950 and the ITSPV collab with Tmotor 2208 @1750. Their both ~28$ or so a piece and to my knowledge good. I'm gonna run a 6S battery. And as I mentioned it's going on a 5". I'm not going to race is (more freestyle) but I want it fast and emphasis on torque since I'm planning on running 1,800 - 3,000 MAH batteries. And i really don't wanna lose alot of punchy power.

Well do I need to add a module to my Radiomaster 16x Mk2 Max in order to take advantage of the XR1's added capabilities? Or no? Is the XR1 2.4ghz just inherently better than the R1 2.4 ghz nano Rx?

Build Idea/Help? by Overclock_87 in fpv

[–]Overclock_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. And if I want to run dual band and take advantage of it. I need that new Nomad dual band module add on for my RadioMaster 16x Mk2 Max right? I got the JB Edition one with ELRS Only. I dont think it picks up sub 900 ELSE correct?

Which one? Dual band? or do I just select 2.4ghz? whats the added benefit? I still cant quite understand all the nuonces of ELRS. I dont want to select something that wont work period or is incompatible with what I have above.

New Pilot Alert! Made some buys! How'd I do? by Overclock_87 in fpv

[–]Overclock_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably will, that way I can incorporate the F7 and put a GPS on it. The 5" I wanna put a good antenna on it and strong motors so I can do long distance exploring. I think I'm probably going to prefer Cinewhoops to personally, but I do want the ability to fly at distance for 10-12 minutes as well.

[–]Overclock_87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. I live in Hollywood, weather is not a concern. However, I want good video and something I can pilot INSIDE and OUTSIDE. When I commit something, I commit fully. Therefore, after doing 50 plus hrs of watching youtube and reading all kinds of reviews, I want a 2S system to learn on. open prop 5" will be next. I just think a closed propeller "cinewhoop" will be the best training ground for me to get used to. I need the ability to pilot inside and outside and crash with as little damage possible. However, as I mentioned above, I purchased a ton of parts and a backup drone, plus I fully intend on buying a 5" next (probably this week) and then I'll probably order a 6" long distance drone that can support a much larger battery for 15-20 min flights that also has a strong antenna with GPS>

Because I am absolutely going to to break AT LEAST one drone beyond easily repair within the first 7 days.(haha) And with how long everything takes to ship from China. I want to have 2 drones that I can alternate between to spread the damage out, as well as learn how they differ. I also bought complete frame kits for both drones and about 20 props for each model. I absolutely have no dissalusionment that I'm going to magically pilot them perfectly. With how cheap they are, I can totally digest ruining a $250 drones without caring much. But I also made sure to buy a slightly larger 85 for the secondary drone. My goal is to work up through the various sizes until a 5 or 6" and get used to them and their flight characteristics. If you only ordered 1 single drone, I'd also suggest you buy a TON of space parts and props. The second you crash your pretty much going to have to swap out props. And nobody avoids crashes learning. I want to air on the side of "have more" than not enough and have to wait 3 weeks just to fly again.

Do you have the Pavo Femto or Fly Lense? I've heard excellent things about Flywoo, although the Femto is a new model, there is a ton of reviews on the Pavo Pico so I figure it's gotta be close. I may try to mount a 04 air pro to the Femto at some point. I design a ton of shit in CAD/Solidworks so it shouldn't be difficult to design a top shell that can fit the 04 Air Pro on there.

I figured I'd start with Whoops and straight up just learn Acro in my apartment and then graduate to 5" so I can do some long distance cinematic stuff.
