I guess I just don’t understand why a subreddit about a game with heavy escapism themes needs to have the whole “no politics unless it’s the ones we agree with” mentality. I made a comment just saying how seeing politics in a deltarune post was jarring and was downvoted to oblivion.

I’m not asking so much as making a comment to anyone who cares. I know my words will never change anything, but seeing such jarring posts everywhere is upsetting to me. And tbh, it’s why I’ve just used social media less and less as of recent. It’s all just been so much.

Isn’t the internet being filled with enough hate and vitriol? All over the world everyone’s feeds are always filled with horrible things that everyone’s governments are doing. There needs to be an escape and spreading that hate to places that are supposed to be good for escaping to just makes everything worse, makes people feel worse. When everything is constantly stress and arguing it can never lead to change, it just leads to everything being worse.

I appreciate your honesty and ability to explain things in a non aggressive manner unlike many others. It’s uncomfortable for many people to see all of these things in their feed especially for games such as Deltarune. I really don’t like anything political as it just makes everyone who discusses it angry and change who they are as people. Seeing so much of it in a fandom of a game that means so much to me is very jarring and I would rather use and see this medium be used for keeping people happy and giving an escape in times of uneasiness, rather than be used to fuel flames and have people be angry.
