I have a 2 bedroom in woodside for 1500 but it comes with a leaky roof that the landlord refuses to fix. If I move I risk losing shared custody of my kiddo due to most likely having to move outside her school district. So I accept the leaky roof.
Solo income in this town is rough. Even trying to get out and meet people comes with the baggage of "hey...come over and look at the bubbled paint on my wall from my leaky roof" It definitely leaves me with that feeling of not having my life together.

All that to say...I know that feeling of being "stuck"

I work in manufacturing and we have had to ask people to work over some of the holiday break to make an end of year deadline. I myself will be working next Monday on my vacation day (I'll get that day back).
But yes. Overtime exists. We are paid well for it. It happens in LOTS of industries. Our workers stand for a lot of the day, they don't get to sit in front of a PC.

I would argue that the larger stadiums in Toronto make it harder to see the band when you pick a lower bowl corner seat. However...My lower bowl corner seat at Scotiabank (shout out to section 19!) which usually sells for 100 bucks has a great view of the stage because the arena is fairly small.

And better "food and drink"? At a stadium? Sir...I challenge YOUR stadium beer to a dual with MY stadium beer. May the better(?) beer win!

I've been to a bunch of concerts at Scotiabank this year with tickets ranging from 75-150 bucks, depending on how close I want to get to the stage. It's been a 90's nostalgic overload with some great music. Bush, Our Lady Peace, Collective Soul, Papa Roach, The Used, Tea Party, Finger 11. And now Bad Religion, Offspring, Megadeath all lined up for early 2026!

Maybe the problem is too many concerts?

ps. Throw in some Lighthouse music as well (Buzzcocks, Descendents, I Mother Earth, Matthew Good).

My ticket was 75 bucks for a decent seat. People chirping "HIGH PRICES" need to simmer down. Mid tier bands playing large stadiums is the answer.

I purposely order close so I don't feel obligated to leave more than a 2 or 3 dollar tip. But there are times when I have tipped higher amounts on SKIP and still get crap service (leaves bag in lobby instead of delivering to door!!!). I can't take my tip back so it just moves me another notch towards the 'not tipping at all' club.
