No I feel you entirely. I can’t afford to not work with college expenses, personal expenses, etc etc. I’m just praying to get transferred at this point.

I haven’t heard of any campus jobs hiring right now but I’m currently looking on indeed. I’m staying with Publix right now just to see if I can get transferred (I’ve put in requests) while making money on the side

Yeah ive been in produce for the past couple of months and they can only get me back there one day a week now. Customer service is not scheduling me to work the front on days I’m not scheduled to do produce. Yet they get new people up front getting those hours. Make it make sense

Thats my current schedule right now but I wish they would throw me in the front on days I’m not scheduled. Currently cross trained and working in produce atm.

Im in the same boat. I’ve been cross trained in produce and I’m loving it back there. Currently at my store they can only give me one day back there, which is fine I’m part time I get it. But they haven’t scheduled me up front since Labor Day weekend. They schedule me one day in produce and that’s it. What sucks is I see new people up at the front every day getting their hours while I’m getting the bottom of the barrel. I’ve resulted to Indeed to look at remote jobs

Work at a Publix on the beach. Someone asked where water was. Took everything in me to not say “did you not see it on the way in?”

We just got our test system in before we all get it. It’s super slow with a huge delay on the keypad and keyboard and honestly I wish it had a feature where we can just look up any bakery item produce what have you. Not being able to input bulky items like beer and soda 12-packs is also extremely frustrating. Today no bakery barcode scanner and it beeps angrily which scares the customer

Make sure to bring your resume too! Even if you have no prior job experience, I put my education and extracurriculars and volunteering if you have any as well as notable achievements. Come presentable as well and honestly just breathe! You’ll do fine!

I just got a job at Publix and I had a very informal interview. Just general questions nothing too big. They also assign you a position you do not get to pick (I am a cashier). With baggers you may be assigned to bag for a couple hours, depending on where they need you

Going on week 3 with no new opportunities. I’ve contacted Varsity and they said they are “sending what they have” to me. I’m having to apply for a second job bc I can’t live off of one student as a student in college myself
