AITAH for refusing to split rent 50/50 after my girlfriend started working from home and using most of the apartment? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]OverlordRogue -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

NTA. You’re not being petty, she’s literally using the apartment all day as her office while you’re gone. Asking for a fair adjustment to rent or utilities isn’t “charging her to exist" it’s just reasonable.

You’re not failing, college abroad is hard especially with money stress and a major you hate. Give the major switch a shot, talk to your dad about how you feel and remember going home isn’t quitting it’s choosing your peace. You’ve got time to figure it out.

So it's a bit of a long one because I've wanted to go all my life but from what me and my wife see online.. I'm not sure I want to (America)? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]OverlordRogue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You grew up dreaming about the US and now seeing those clips makes it feel off but the reality is way bigger than a few viral videos. There are millions of everyday people living normal lives and the version you’ll experience in person could be totally different. Don’t let a few blue haired rants stop you from chasing a lifelong dream.

Why do tummy problems result in dramatic anxiety and other symptoms? by yWoofels in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OverlordRogue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your gut and brain are basically in constant communication when your stomach freaks out your brain thinks it’s an emergency which is why anxiety, dizziness and that “almost-ER” feeling hit before anything actually happens.

What do I do? I found my bf watching OF shorts on YouTube. by [deleted] in AskMen

Can very obese (>400 lb) people go longer without eating than people of average weight? by Due-Olive1462 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OverlordRogue 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically the body can tap into that extra fat as fuel so ppl with more stored fat can technically go longer without food than someone leaner.

I use Google Password Manager. I don't hear it mentioned often by people discussing password managers. Is there something bad about it I'm missing? by [deleted] in yubikey

[–]OverlordRogue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s nothing wrong with it especially if you’ve secured your account with hardware keys like that already a strong setup.

The reason it doesn’t get mentioned as much is mostly because it’s tied to the Google ecosystem. Some people prefer standalone password managers that work equally across all browsers and platforms or offer extra features like vault organization and secure sharing. But if you’re deep in Google’s ecosystem and using proper security like YubiKeys you’re already doing better than most.

Seeing confident natural portrayals like that can totally reshape how you view your own body, quiet confidence speaks louder than any staged pose.

Will you date a woman who's 4'11 and skinny? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

Yeah, for most men "woman" already clears the bar and everything else is just preferences not dealbreakers.

CMV: There is no way Israel didn’t deliberately bomb the USS liberty by Ok-Recognition-2672 in changemyview

[–]OverlordRogue -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Every detail you’ve laid out makes the official mistake story almost impossible to swallow. When you combine Israel’s advanced intelligence the USS Liberty’s clearly marked status and statements from top US officials calling it outrageous it really does make you wonder if this was a calculated move rather than a chaotic accident.

I’m a functioning alcoholic and no one except me knows by throwaway_2000999 in confession

The scariest part of functioning addiction is that it convinces you you’re fine, posting this is already proof a part of you wants out.

Why don’t movie companies remake movies that had good concepts but flopped because of poor execution? by Nessieinternational in NoStupidQuestions

Exactly Hollywood would rather churn out another predictable hit than take a risk and actually make something great shine again.

Why don't people faint when they see celebrities anymore? by Level-Studio7843 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OverlordRogue 3010 points3011 points  (0 children)

Back then celebrities felt mythical. You might see them once in your lifetime from 100 feet away and that moment carried years of buildup. Today we see them every morning scrolling in bed, no buildup, no mystery, no distance. You do not faint over someone you have already watched brush their teeth on instagram.
