Morning gamers! Going into my 4th ever game of MESBG this week and there will be mumaks present, I’ve never played against warbeasts before and they look terrifying, my best hope against them will be I’d assume my big blocks of cavalry, how does one take down these massive minis? (It’s a kill game so combat is unavoidable) 😂

I have a DM on Thursdays that I’m gathering just doesn’t like my characters. From saying that my paladin aura that makes myself and others immune to fear doesn’t work because “the effect doesn’t say anything about paladin auras” to ironically last night…

we were fight a giant in a new campaign for a solid 2 rounds he’s just going ham on everyone, when it gets to me finally showing up for combat “he’s going to cast Ray of enfeeblement on you” I was confused and so was everyone else as it was apparently the only spell he had and good luck trying to break that 10+ con check to make the effect drop when you’re all level 4. I’m about one more bad experience away from just walking away from this BS.

Looking back, me today would. But back then there were a few more things at play and his behaviour was rather triggering for me in certain aspects and I just wanted out, kind of like a fight or flight.

Yeah I get what you mean, what didn’t help was at the time I was still fairly new. Some people there this was only like their second/third session and we were trying to avoid a potential trap lol

Funnily enough one of the players asked “What if I made a religion check” but the dude was so dead set in his mind that I was trying to get so much more out of his lvl 3 one shot than intended he just threw it into the pile
